Yes, I hoped so as well, but when I tried as suggested to "mod my Uefi" to disable CFG Lock, I wasn't even able to start modGrubShell, because when I did, I immediately got sent back to the boot options screen. And now I really don't know where to start troubleshooting.apparently that is a working EFI
Did you enable legacy option rom in bios?Yes, I hoped so as well, but when I tried as suggested to "mod my Uefi" to disable CFG Lock, I wasn't even able to start modGrubShell, because when I did, I immediately got sent back to the boot options screen. Yes, I followed your Bios Setup strictly.Did you enable legacy option rom in bios?
Try this, add modgrubshell.efi as a boot entry and boot directly to it.Yes, I followed your Bios Setup strictly.
Well, I tried that (At least I think. I just typed in the file name to the boot Option selector, because in Tools I could just choose the normal shell.efi) but then I got the Dell panic screen.Try this, add modgrubshell.efi as a boot entry and boot directly to it.
You shouldn’t be typing anything in. If the file doesn’t show make sure the file is there on USB, try another usb, redownload it, copy it over again, double check you bios settings.Well, I tried that (At least I think. I redownloaded your EFI to be sure, but when I unzipped it, there was no modgrubshell.efi in the Tools folder. Can I just download it from GitHub?You shouldn’t be typing anything in. Yea google it not hard to find, I’m not gonna be at my computer for a while. Sorry, I’ll have to look at the files later.I redownloaded your EFI to be sure, but when I unzipped it, there was no modgrubshell.efi in the Tools folder. Can I just download it from GitHub?
