also having your usb ports not setup correctly can have issues with sleep

according to your usbports.kext, you have set them all to internal

does this mean you have no usb ports on your laptop? no usb3.0 ports?

also your usbports.kext mentions MacBookPro15,4, but your config.plist mentions: MacBookPro14,1 (which is correct for Kabylake

also looing at your config.plist from post 1:

this section is wrong:
Code:
<dict>
                <key>Comment</key>
                <string>

change Method(GPRW,2,N) to XPRW, pair with SSDT-GPRW.aml

</string>
                <key>Enabled</key>
                <true/>
                <key>Find</key>
                <data>R1BSVwI=</data>
                <key>Replace</key>
                <data>WFBSVwI=</data>
            </dict>
that is a clover rename

OpenCore (as you have seen above) does renames differently
Ok so starting everything from scratch, I removed the DSDT for now and added the ssdt-GPRW.aml with the necessary renames mentioned earlier. I rebuild my usbport.kext with hackintool and placed it in my efi and config.plist, reboot and waited.

But the sad part, this resolves the issue partially, sleep/wake on power adapter is fine but wake issues on battery power, lid wake gives reboot. Using the old usbport.kext reverses the senario, sleep/wake issues on power adapter.

there is no need for a user to decompile their own dsdt and make any edits, and especially with OpenCore as that is a no no!
btw what's the problem adding our DSDT to opencore, means isn't it a worth as it fixes the annoying sleep/wake issue easily and many others like RTC fix and battery patch.

just going by the opencore documentation that explains not to use it apart from adding a battery patch etc and then examining the dsdt to create a hotpatch file

so now you can go ahead for other fixes by editing your DSDT and extracting ssdt's from there. A guide to the same is linked below :-

Just remember to apply the "battery_HP-Pavilion-n012tx.txt" patch by rehabman, read the guide and you will get to know what i'm talking about.
After Patching your battery you can extract a ssdt or a hotpatch from there.
