Hi @Shinji3rd . I have built Catalina on Vivobook(Core i5-7200u) with opencore.. everything works as expected except Fn keys for brightness up-down are not working.
Also I could not get the SD card reader to work ( previous I could unlock it with Sinetek-rtsx kext).
My system configuration:

Does anyone has displayport over USB-C working ?
i can not connect my laptop to my LG 4k screen with a USB-C to display port dongle.

i am still on Catalina with clover
I am on opencore and I could not.. USB C port is working for storage devices though.. I am also struggling to get my HDMI out working.
Asus Vivobook R541/ Core i5-7200u
-I am getting graphics acceleration and correct VRAM in sys info though.

I managed to install with opencore, once it restarts, the clover boot appears, should I run the preboot or start directly from the SSD?
Manage to get to the desktop by any means.. then you can replace the clover EFI folder with OC EFI

Succeeded to get keyboard backlight working (thanks to hieplpvip Zenbook repo). Everything's working now, except HDMI audio out, which is working fine with Clover.
Booting with Clover, ig-platform-id and device-id in IoReg IGPU shows 1659, while with OpenCore is 1619. I believe this might be the cause of the HDMI audio not working in OpenCore.
I tried changing ig-platform-id in config Device Properties to 1659, but it caused a kernel panic on boot, and it also broke boot with Clover (same kernel panic), no matter how many times I cleared NVRAM with OpenCore or hitting F11 with Clover. I managed to restore the working config only by booting from an external HDD backup.

Attached are working Opencore EFI folder and IoReg, Clover debug files and the modified OpenCore config.plist that caused the KP.

Any suggestion would be very much appreciated. I feel like I'm close to get it working, but I'm definitely missing something

Solved!

For some reason I had bootargument "lilucpu=8", which was for SkyLake CPU. I think this was causing the KP when I tried to change platform-id from 1619 to 1659.
I corrected to "lilucpu=9" (Kaby Lake), switched ig-platform-id and device-id to 1659 in Device Properties and now HDMI audio out is working.

Attached my OpenCore EFI folder. Everything working, including light sensor and backlight keyboard.

For anyone willing to use this EFI folder, you'll have to generate SMBIOS and match lilucpu argument in
"NVRAM > 7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82 > boot-args" with your CPU
and edit "AAPL,ig-platform-id" and "device-id" in
"Device Properties > PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0)" with the platform id that works for your CPU.

Last thing I'd like to accomplish is booting Windows from OpenCore. I get ACPI_BIOS_ERROR if I boot Windows from Opencore. Windows works flawlessly when booting from UEFI

Hello, installer is loaded on ux310uq with i3-6100u + 940mx(disabled as in first post)(10.14) but in the first screen I cant press the continue button. I used OpenCore EFI from first post and EFI brunogermain(problem, but I tried).
And with 10.15 I have this log.
How I can solve it?

Hello @odox, try the attached config.plist
It's the same as the one in the first post, with added language "en-US:0" (656e2d55533a30 in HEX). You can set your preferred language (if not english) later in System Preferences, but this should get you past the Language Chooser screen. Remember to reset NVRAM before booting.

Hello, please your help

I tried with clover and OC in both cases the result was the same.
I get an error with OSInstall.postscript.pkg.

ssd format is "APFS" & Scheme to "GUID Partition Scheme".
date 0724000019

Thanks..

Hello brunogermain

I am using your EFI folder in two scenarios and in neither scenario it works for me

1. I have Catalina installed, I take your EFI folder and place it in the efi partition of the hard disk but when it starts it stays on the locked screen (attached image)

2. I configure my USB to install big sur I run the command to copy the installer, I copy the efi folder in the efi partition of the memory at the beginning of the installation and when there are 14 minutes left to finish it is blocked and does not continue.

I appreciate you can tell me that I may be doing wrong. my computer is an asus ux310uak core i7 kaby lake graphics intel 620

PD: I am trying for both scenarios with the efi folder that you share without success, I have tried to leave only the necessary drivers and take a snapshot of the config file but I cannot advance

thanks for your help, My degree of knowledge in this matter is low
