[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I read post 1 and had a successful Catalina install with clover— but having problem doing a direct update from Catalina to Big Sur. Can I just do a clean install with Big Sur but follow the steps with open core ?
Also would I need to do all the clover adjustments and configurations or will open core be easier?

What’s the best method ?
All of the answers are in Quick Reference spoiler at the top of Post 1.
  • Replace Clover with OpenCore (section 1)
  • Upgrade to Big Sur from Catalina (section 1)
  • Perform fresh installation of Big Sur (section 1)

:Oo_O more than the double of my score
will try AMD accelerator, in beenchmarks and in real work
I am not using any accelerators, I only use OC 0.63 kindly done by @CaseySJ

@CaseySJ i'll need your help once again. I have install Gigabyte Titan Ridge 2.0 for a friend of mine, to a Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 7. As i can see the port is PR23, do you know witch ssdt have to use to make it work?
I can't see thunderbolt at PCI section "About this Mac"
That's strange unless the v2 is now RP23. My first hack was with the same mobo and the i7 8700K. The Thunderbolt address on that is RP21. If RP23 isn't workin' for you, try this one that KGP wrote:

We have a fully configured OpenCore 0.6.3 EFI for Designare Z390 located here. Although you are most welcome to create your own EFI folder, it's much easier for us to support you if you use the one provided in this guide.

To install Windows, please see this post:
All done , I'm now using the configured z390 file from page 1 mini guide. Everything is working except for random DarkWakes every 10 to 30 mins. I've added my log file and screenshots.

the screenshot with large text highlights show the course of events.
1. 2020-11-19 10:39 display turns off , then under domain sleep, we enter darkwake which looks all good.
2. 2020-11-19 10:39 there is a set of assertions regarding coreaudiod which I think is the culprit.
3. 2020-11-19 10:39 Under domain sleep, Enter sleep but timed at 1805 seconds or 30 mins but with "Wake Requests"

Code:
2020-11-19 10:39:27 +0000 Wake Requests [process=dasd request=SleepService deltaSecs=98560 wakeAt=2020-11-20 14:02:07 info="com.apple.dasd:0:com.apple.apsd.apprefresh"] [*process=dasd request=TimerPlugin deltaSecs=1798 wakeAt=2020-11-19 11:09:25 info="com.apple.dasd:501:com.apple.suggestions.harvest"] [process=powerd request=UserWake deltaSecs=315805 wakeAt=2020-11-23 02:22:52 info="com.apple.alarm.user-visible-Weekly Usage Report,380"]

4. 2020-11-19 11:09 then there are "MaintenanceWake" after 30 mins

Code:
2020-11-19 11:09:28 +0000 Assertions PID 187(mDNSResponder) Created MaintenanceWake "mDNSResponder:maintenance" 00:00:00 id:0x0xd00008e29 [System: PrevIdle DeclUser SRPrevSleep IntPrevDisp kCPU kDisp]
2020-11-19 11:09:28 +0000 Assertions PID 187(mDNSResponder) Released MaintenanceWake "mDNSResponder:maintenance" 00:00:00 id:0x0xd00008e29 [System: PrevIdle DeclUser IntPrevDisp kDisp]

Whenever these wakes happen, it get a pc click sound, fans/cooler goes running and it turns back to sleep after 40 to 120 seconds. Its very annoying

Am I fighting something that is actually a feature and common with hackintoshes ?

Maintenance wakes are normal but they can be disabled. Please refer to “Consolidated List of Sleep Aids” in Section 4 of the Quick Reference spoiler at the top of post 1.

I can see now Thunderbolt at PCI section, a type c usb stick shown up and running, iPhone charge is ok but he can't see it at Finder, maybe one port of two it isn't so functional.
Also there is no menu at bios for thunderbolt for some reason. I talking for the Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 Bios F14.
