Thanks for the answer. Exactly what I was looking for! So I can buy a wifi 5 Mobo and swap it for a wifi 6. It gives me more choices.you can buy a wifi motherboard, but the the onboard Wifi is usually Intel and doesn't work. You will need to swap it out with a Broadcom. To do so, you will need to buy the right M2 a/e wifi/bt card and put it in the wifi slot.
The easiest is buy a Fenvi 1200 PCIe card. It is plug and play and works seamlessly with MacOs. Amazon has them.
