Hi Guys, Hi @CaseySJ

I wanted to ask you something as I'm in need to upgrade from Mojave to Catalina.

Is there a mini guide for the update as I'm still on Mojave with a working build from last year and Clover? Can I simply Update from the App Store?

Do I need to swap to OpenCore?

Gonna upgrade from a Vega64 to a 5700XT What should I pay attention to?

Thanks
Like you, I was going to jump from Mojave to Catalina once. I thought a 5700XT would be an upgrade from my Vega 56. But it didn't perform as well as even my 56, so I suspect you may find it a disappointment after your 64...

Guys already setup the on board wifi and work now testing Airdrop, also hide network dont support this kext

PD: get clean install for Big Sur dont upgrade from Catalina 10.15.7.

*** As a side comment here, I never understood what kind of magic does CCC does. If someone knows it, can you please explain to me what is so special about it that cannot be achieved with a simple rsync followed by running the EFI copier that we had to hack anyway? I hate esoteric things ... *****

CCC is able to make the destination disk bootable. I'm not sure rsync alone can achieve that. With Big Sur, the process is five orders of magnitude more complicated thanks (or no thanks) to Apple's increasingly constrictive security policies. Only the beta version of Carbon Copy Cloner can make a bootable Big Sur backup!

Have you tried the Process of Elimination to see which device is interfering with sleep? The most common cause is a USB or Bluetooth device connected to the internal USB 2.0 header.
Hi Casey. Yes, of course. It's always the Fenvi WiFi card. But I need it!.
The only solution that worked for me in the past was the SSDT-GPRW.aml patch.
In that way, the computer only wakes from sleep with the power button, but it's OK for me.
But now, it doesn't work with Big Sur.
I have to shut-down the computer each time. If not, it keeps sleeping and waking!.
Thx anyway for you enormous help!
