Hi all,

I am having a lot of fun with my new Hackintosh since you guys helped me out with some issues a few months ago. Thanks again for that!

I am now experiencing the issue, that SATA drives connected to the motherboard cannot be seen on Mojave. I wasn't aware of this issue as I used only M.2 drives until that moment. Do I need any Kexts for this?

Best regards

Hey all! Been super-busy with work and only now I finally flashed the card. Some weird things are happening after (it works fine with the original AML files, but I believe I've now lost hot-plug entirely). Hopefully @CaseySJ or @djlild7hina can chime in :)

Here's what else is happening.

- Before I flashed it, I always had to unplug / replug the card right after I powered it up for the card to work. That still applies, but now, I can't even see the BIOS or any of the verbose mode during boot (which I always leave on). In fact, the monitors shut off due to no signal, then pop on once MacOS is booted. I guess this is a side-effect of using the flashed BIOS and the MiniDisplayPort cables routing from the video card to the Titan Ridge (if I need the BIOS, I can plug an HDMI in directly- so that's not the end of the world).

- If I use the the files generated after following this link I can't get anything to connect in any capacity. (I'm sure it's related to setting it to PC00 as we discussed previously), but I'm wondering if I did the process wrong.

- In System Report on the Hackintosh, the speed shows as 20Gb/s x2. I'm assuming this is also normal?

- As stated at the beginning, hot plug is completely gone. Before the flash, if I unplugged/replugged everything came back normally. Now, I have to either plug in an HDMI or just hold the power button for 5 seconds .... then because of the dock not powering on boot, I have to unplug the Thunderbolt 3 cable when I power up, wait a second or 2, then plug it in

Any advice would be great lol. As it stands now, I'm using the original AML files you supplied me earlier in this thread and it's running all my devices like it did, except now with Thunderbolt 3 showing up in the System Report & no hot-plug at all.... so I'm getting SOMEWHERE LOL

Seems like Apple pulled a fast one on everyone using Catalina.

Mojave update was pulled down and reuploaded with a newer build.

They might release a new Catalina update soon people are complaining.

The accountsd issue killed me on my a 2019 MacBook Pro before my DJ livestream last Monday. I have no luck with Catalina I swear ...

Yeah it's complete crap. For some reason it's working better now and idle is not u sing 400% anymore with accountsd.

Did you try logging out of iCloud, rebooting and logging in again?

You can also try re-indexing your main drive by adding it into Sys Pref > Spotlight > Privacy then removing it and letting it reindex for a bit.

Apple really needs to patch up Catalina it's a really terrible release.

Try this also:

If I could downgrade this machine to Mojave, I would... oh lord knows I would......

Before the fix was announced, it was the first thing I tried. So I put Macintosh HD in the 'do not index' list, then removed it, and let it re-index itself over 3 days and it went back to normal (I did some quick research and found out that accountsd was related to indexing). Didn't have to sign out of iCloud, and it's been fine all week. But if it happens again, I'm calling the Executive Liason I dealt with at Apple and going NUTS. (super long story, but he's one of Craig's assistants. He answered an e-mail I sent to Hairforce..... arggggggh). My Macbook story is the longest disaster you'd ever hear and I won't bore the people in this thread with it, but it involved some major higher-ups at Apple.

While I'm here, anybody got any advice on my Titan Ridge issue from above?

So thanks to @CaseySJ I successfully have TB3 fully functioning with local node and hot plug using the patched firmware on my Titan ridge on the Sage/10G (looks like my TB3 header cable is messed up so I had to use the jumper on pins 3 & 5)

Is anybody here with this board using a Thunderbolt 3 dock able to get the dock to power up from a cold boot? I have to unplug / replug. Rebooting works fine and even plugging in after the computer boots fully works too. That’s the only issue I have left now. Is it possibly related to USB port mapping?

Since 2 days, I can’t go futher than this step « end randomseed »

Q-code of motherboard is « 61 » —-> nvram initialization

I try differents methods with (emuvariableuefi or osxaptiofix) with no results

bit thanks for your help

Congratulations, @djbuddha !!!

Don't you mind sharing your EFI folder?
I'm stuck with hotplug on exactly the same motherboard and TB3 card both with custom and v43 GC-Titan Ridge (rev. 1) firmwares on 10.15.7.

Everything worked almost seamlessly (except few graphic glitches) on 10.15.6, but I was stupid enough not to backup the system SSD before the upgrade.
Even worse, my custom SSDT doesn't work now, I have to use USBInjectAll.kext to boot into the macOS.

Could you also specify your BIOS version, please?
