B450 users ...go to EFI ..ACPI and remove SSDT-CPUR.aml and in Kext change network driver as per your mother board , open genSMBIOS to change serial number, uuid and board number open config.plist with proper tree and enter serial ,uuid and board number as per genSMBIOS then chose OC snap short and save ...thats it copy the EFI to your USB and start install....you can use this on Windows too....happy hacking

Its a different chipset than you have so it requires a slightly different set up. What graphics card are you using? Attached is an EFI I used for both an ASUS and Gigabyte 450 board with a 5600XT video card, the networking kext is different so that won't work until you replace it with one for the Realtek® 8111H and modify the config.plist to call it to load. You will also have to add serial numbers etc
Amazing, thank you so much. I am using RX 570. I will give it a go this evening, fingers crossed it will work.

If it boots but fails to display anything then try this version, I removed the boot argument enabling XT5000 series video cards. I have the Realtek ethernet kext included in both EFI folders (forgot I had done that) so you should have working wired internet as well.

You’re a legend! Thank you so much.

I used this EFI to boot into the installer, but after about 4-5 seconds the mouse/keyboard froze. I cant move the mouse to select disk utility.

Would you have any suggestions?

FYI, I haven’t tweaked anything, just literally copy pasted what you attached.

Unplug the USB adapter and then plug it back in. If that doesn't work try another port.

Hmm thanks for the suggestion. I tried that but still frozen. I’m not sure if its the whole system that’s frozen or just the usb ports..

Appreciate the response. Could you please write this down in more detail?

I’m a beginner so would really appreciate a step by step to do this.

Its the USBPort.kext giving you grief then. It's custom made for another board and most likely blocking the ports you have. Using a .plist editor open the config.plist and edit these values. Change Kernel/Add/USBPort.kext to No or False. Then in Kernel/Quirks turn the last entry Xchiportlimit to true if it isn't already. Don't change anything else....

Really appreciate your time & help with this. Thanks.

I made those changes in the config.plist

Interestingly, there was no usb kext in the kexts folder of the usb boot drive.

Unfortunately, I think it may be a total freeze rather then just the usb ports not being responsive because the screen froze as well (see the screenshot attached)

I'm on my phone so I'm going by memory which doesn't always help. I'll have to dig into it more later
