The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

So is there a reason why anything above 5122 makes my system not boot?

Is there a fix or should I just switch to Open Core already?
Clover is becoming a hybrid mix of itself and Opencore and from what I've read of other users posts there is additional configuration needed to get later versions of Clover to boot. Not many positive reviews of it.....I'd switch.

@Stork hope this helps but I can't take credit for it. For both the Z390 and Z490 Asus boards we've been using a kernel patch that does the trick for the ROG Strix e Gaming models. I've attached @scope666 config.plist that contains the kernel patch. Be curious to hear your findings.
That worked: Kernel > Patch > 5 (F1 Patch Fix) > Enabled > Yes

Thank you very much for helping me with that fix.

Im running Asus ROG STRIX Z390-I GAMING with 5700XT.

If you have a configured Open Core EFI folder with these specs - please share. Thank you in advance
This is @phantom-101 EFI Folder with the adgpmod=pikera argument for the 5700XT card. See if it works, its missing some device information but may do the trick

Following the perfect work made by @ModMike, I build a new EFI folder based on Open Core 0.6.2.

If someone want to try or want to change something, let me know.

When 0.6.3 will released, I'll update it, so we'll ready for Big Sur from day 1.

Cheers.
is this configured for 5700xt? I tried and it locks up at the apple logo... any advice? Thanks

Wow, thanks a lot for your guide. Everything seems to work perfectly!

Here, try this version instead. I think the other version is missing some stuff that could be causing an issue using a dGPU
