The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

is it OK to do these and other apple software updates, either now or later, for Mojave?
Have a bootable backup that you've tested working before trying those. If they don't work out, it's not a problem.

Yes, cloned backup for sure..... sleep still not working properly, what other thoughts do you have?
Thanks

As the guide is written, sleep should work when using integrated graphics. It doesn't work with AMD cards, that's been discussed quite often. So go back and see if you've done any thing different than what's in Post #1. Some people have used iMac 14,3 and claim that works better with HD4600 but I've never needed to use that.

ok, I tried to follow it closely, but will check again.... the one I am certain of is that I did not use the commands in terminal you listed in step 3.D. .... Should I try to enter those now? or are they already taken care of in the preferences/energy saver?
would you suggest to try changing to 14,1 first and if not successful then to 14,3?
Thanks

Thanks for sharing your work!, this is awesome. I've considered moving my 9020 SFF to a new case, but delayed doing it because of other projects. Finally seeing pictures of a successfully completed case swap on here is really inspiring. Good job and yes, you could easily fit a Sapphire RX 580 Pulse in there, its a big phat card!.
My Pleasure, I have learnt so much from this forum, this threat and by badgering Trs and others with questions its nice to share in return.

Reference your project, there are some issues I believe in moving a SSF 9020 to a new case. Trs could confirm this or have a look through posts 2 and 3, but I'm not sure the SSF motherboard is standard mATX like my mini tower version is. Also I know there are clearance issues with the PCI x16 slot and the motherboard's sata ports as the later are in line with the PCI slot on the SSF board. They are in a different location on the MT board.

My Rx 580 pulse fits in the new case with stacks of room, was squeazy but just fit in the original dell MT case. Could probably fit a nitro+ vega 64 in the new case...but i don't need one...mmm but....no... i don't need one!

What more proof do you need than what is presented here in this thread ?

Didn't mean to offend - I was referring to the Gigabyte B460 mobo, not the OptiMac 9020 (which I have running and which is great)

I've read elsewhere on the site that Hackintosh builds based on the 10000 series were still considered experimental, so I just wanted to make sure before I push any Buy buttons :)

I know that the buyer's guide for tenth gen says that it's experimental but it's really not anymore. There isn't much difference at all between 9th and 10th gen. Intel just added more cores and lowered prices of the CPUs, the chipset isn't any different.

Wasn't offended at all, I don't go back and read the whole previous post you were referring to. You need to be a little more detailed in your reply. Asking "Is this proven" I thought you meant the 9020 Dell board that is the topic here.

Longdex 24-Pin to 8-Pin ATX PSU Power Supply Adapter for Dell Optiplex 7020/9020 MT

I've changed the guide's recommendation from the moddiy.com version to this. Too many people have reported waiting over two months to get their adapter from moddiy. That's not acceptable. This Longdex version costs around 4 dollars less and you'll receive it much more quickly. The quality appears to be good. With my Prime membership I can get one shipped to my home in just one day, not 2+ months !

The moddiy version of the adapter is still the best quality available but from my testing, this one so far, has worked with zero issues.

Compatible with Dell Optiplex 3020, 7020, 9020
This Power Cable can convert a regular 24-pin power supply into an 8-pin Dell dedicated power supply interface.
The converter line comes with a 12VSB booster panel, which boosts the +5VSB of the conventional power supply to the +12VSB required by Dell motherboards. 18AWG standard wire, 0.18x34 copper core.

Started having my Bluetooth speakers cut out and skip. Then my watch wouldn't unlock my Hackintosh. Did a little bit of troubleshooting, and realized it was most definitely this card that I bought when I first built my Hack from this thread.

I just replaced it with a Fenvi tonight and working perfectly. Hopefully the Fenvi lasts longer than the last card. Uploaded a picture so people can avoid this one. Think I got it from fleabay.
