Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Looks like my Wifi isn't working with the OC-062-Intel-Wireless-VISION-D.
i have the Wifi icon in menubar but no networks scan and no wifi in network setting panel.:shifty:
BT seems to work fine.

Same for me, no Wifi on update to OC 0.6.2, Catalina or latest Big Sur Beta.

I had to go back to F5 bios. F6 was causing monitors to freeze. Never had that problem before. Also sleep issues, monitors not coming back after sleep. With F5 everything back to normal.

Have you done any troubleshooting to identify the cause?

In BS I used to have to have Misc | Security | SecureBootModel > Disabled to get it to work.

It would also only work with Default in Catalina, but neither Disabled or Default work now with either Catalina or BS.

Still more testing/trialing to do when I get time. It's not a big issue for me as I have wired connection as well but would be nice to get working eventually.

I did have to boot into Windowz yesterday, so I will do a full cold boot later just in case Windowz has affected it. I've seen that in the past with BT, BT stopped working in Windows after running Catalina for a while. Cold boot sorted it out. I'm guessing/assuming that the BT firmware loaded via the OC Kext doesn't clear on a normal restart or warm boot.

Hi @CaseySJ. I am currently reading this whole thread (currently on page 30), and was wondering if you could provide support? I have a Vision G and cannot get my USB Mapping done correctly. I’m not sure what my issue is. It almost makes me want to return the G for the D just to use your EFI. I initially mapped out my USBs manually (following Dortania) and downloaded their sample usb map kext. I had errors so I redid it manually. Next errors I did the Buildmap.command app for intel. (That thing was a huge mess) More errors. I then redid it manually and finally I gave up and used your provided SSDT (putting in my own notes *only*), and when that failed I used the exact SSDT as is and that still failed. I’ve tried enabling all my 19 ports and trimming down to 15. Something always goes wonky. Currently I get 14 because SS10 is missing XHCI enabled or off makes no difference, RHUB made no difference.

I’m also having issues with HS02, which is an internal usb header in which I’ve connected my BCM94360CS2 card to. It’s keeping my machine from sleeping. Disconnecting it allows sleep to happen. I've noticed HS02 is a problem for other Vision G users.

I’ve been trying to get this build up and running for a week now and just can’t get past this issue. I think my USB mapping/HS02 preventing sleep is causing the issue. I also need to use USBFixWake.kext plus the SSDT to get sleep to instant wake with one press although its not currently in my EFI since I’m trying to fix port mapping. This is my second hack. I did USB mapping just fine my first time (Skylake build), and the Broadcom card was never an issue before.

Any insight?

Hi all,
I plan to move my existing Gigabyte Z370 built up on Clover to Gigabyte Z490 Vision D tomorrow when I get the card.
I follow your #2892 OC 0.6.2 update.
If I copy the existing info I have on my Z370 from Clover to OC 0.6.2 PlatformInfo --> DataHub - Generic - PlatformNVRAM everything should be alright?
This means that my existing info under iMac18,3 (Z370) are independent from the new iMac19,1 for the Z490?
Thanks in advance for your reply

Hello @davidbryne,

The USB port mapping for Z490 Vision G has already been done for you. Simply download this package:

That's a good question. This should work, but because those credentials are registered in iCloud as iMac18,3 you might see some discrepancies. For example, About this Mac will say iMac19,1, but in iCloud it might still appear as iMac18,3.

My recommendation would be to try it and see what happens. You can always generate new credentials (serial number, UUID, board serial number, ROM) if you don't like the results.

Have you done any troubleshooting to identify the cause?

A full cold reboot gave me WiFi back in BS, but not Catalina. The reboot did result in all my BIOS settings being wiped clear but loading up the saved Profile soon had it back up and running - a strange issue on the reboot so will try that again later and see if it happens again.
