No Audio Devices - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

Hi @toleda,

I ran into some problems with my AppleALC. Still using Mojave with Lilu (1.4.8) & AppleALC (1.5.3).
I tried my very best to fix my audio issue: I have no audio devices shown.

You will find my files attached. I hope someone can help me fix my audio problem. In Windows audio is working fine. So there are no hardware problems.

BTW: https://github.com/Autocrit/Asus-ROG-STRIX-H370-I-GAMING-Hackintosh-Guide was the guide I looked for and used to build my very own working config.plist. (Except Audio)

Thanks!

Have you tried audio-id 1, 2, or 3?

Follows text from thread I opened under Post Installation > Audio

"Hello, I've been browsing the Hackintosh forums for almost a year now and have successfully built a Hackintosh on an Optiplex 9020 last year (everything worked, I even got me a WiFi/BT card for AirDrop and HandOff and worked flawlessly, iMessage as well) and this year I decided it was time to upgrade.

So I bought an OptiPlex 5070SFF, Q370 Chipset and this time I tried an OpenCore installation for the sake of performance.

This to say, I know my ways around the OS and I wouldn't post or ask for help and take your time if there was no need to. I've searched every forum but can't find an answer that works; so here's the problem:

I've built everything myself as Dortania's guide describes in great Detail and managed to boot into the OS from the first time. Since then I've built my EFI around 7 times.

I am not getting any audio. The computer has an ALC3234, and it's not a mask, I've checked this using Linux. You can find the Dump below.
The

  • I have tried injecting every possible Layout-ID. (got it from: https://github.com/acidanthera/applealc/wiki/supported-codecs)
  • I've done this again using alcdelay argument. (described here in Dortania's guide AppleALC working inconsistently)
  • I've checked that I have the right kexts.
  • I've checked that my kexts load.
  • I've checked that the AppleALC.kext is patching correctly using IORegistryExplorer. Everytime I wrote another layout ID, after rebooting I could confirm that it was sucessfully parsed into HDEF.
  • I know somethings changed from 10.15.4 onwards so I tried installing Lilu and AppleALC in L/E using HackinTool, which also didn't work. I have uninstalled them from there, they only exist in the EFI folder now
  • I have tried VoodooHDA but it sounded terrible and I also didn't have any signal from the HDMI or DP; only from the jack on the back of the computer.
I have attached my current EFI configuration as well as my CodecDump, as well as the SPX System Information file. If you need anything else to assist me, I will provide gladly.

I would appreciate any help from the community!"

Don't know how it might affect others, but I recently found that version 1.5.4 of AppleALC.kext results in "no devices" on both my "Mini-ITX 1" (Haswell) and "Mini-ITX 3" (Coffee Lake) computers below running under High Sierra 10.13.6 (build 17G14019). I was forced to downgrade to version 1.5.2 (never tried 1.5.3) to get sound back.

But on my "Mini-ITX 4" computer (at left) running Catalina 10.15.7 (build 19H15), AppleALC.kext version 1.5.4 works fine.

Hello.
I have a motherboard: MSI GAMING M3 H270
cpu: I5 7400
gpu: 1050ti

My motherboard has an alc1220 audio codec but dpcimanager does not identify it.
I've tried setting the audio in several ways, and as a last resort I used cloverAlc.
But from what I understand, if the mac doesn't identify the codec the audio won't work.

How can I do?

Also I would like to use the audio of my monitor (connected with the video card thanks to the dvi port). The hdmi codec identifies it and I tried to use audio_cloverHDMI but it doesn't work.

Many thanks in advance.

Description of audio problem
Bluetooth audio and front audio jack does not work. I've tried USB mapping, that didnt solve the issue. I've tried all the ALC codes from the supported codecs for my motherboard (ALC887) from the below page:

Only the back audio port works, not the front. Bluetooth audio, connects to headphones, but doesnt show in the audio devices list

I recently upgraded from High Sierra to Mojave, but the audio device is no longer present.

MacOS 10.14.6
Gigabyte GA-H170-Gaming 3 Rev. 1.0; Bios F22e (Audio = Realtek ALC1150)
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7-6700
Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8 GB

I followed the 'Mojave AppleHDA Audio' instructions to install AppleALC here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/mojave-applehda-audio.260004/ using A. MultiBeast 11

I followed the pdf instruction noted in this thread to Restore native AppleHDA.kext in /S/L/E using Pacifist and Mac terminal. Then I repeated the above AppleALC install with MultiBeast.

I have tried audio ID set to 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, & 11.

The required files are attached.

I'm sure I've missed something... but I'm not sure what to try next. Any assistance would be appreciated.
