Lol if Nvidia buys ARM, then technically Apple will be using Nvidia processors.

Incorrect that's like saying AMD is using intel processors. ARM is an architecture and RISC instruction set, the chips Apple uses are designed by Apple and will be manufactured by TCSM. There is no more if Nvidia buys ARM now it is IF regulatory commissions approve the acquisition.

The purchase has not happened yet, they have made a bid and it was accepted. There is still a long way to go before the acquisition can be complete.
As I said, they DID purchase it. If both parties agreed to terms and have issued statements saying they've done so then the statement is true. Arm has - for all intents and purposes - been purchased by Nvidia. Just because it may take over a year to close, it doesn't mean the deal hasn't happened yet, as you say. Of course there IS still the matter of regulators in the US, UK, China, and EU needing to give their "seal of approval" - so to speak - so in that way, it could all end up going down the drain in case if they don't.

Until the transaction is complete there is no purchase. Once the regulators sign off and the funds/stock have been transferred then you have a purchase. Till that happens it is an incomplete deal thus no purchase has happened. For lack of a more simplistic comparison ARM is in escrow to Nvidia like when you buy a house. They are in the process of purchasing, purchased is past tense indicating the completion of the deal.

As long as Ryzen's integrated graphics won't be supported (and I guess it's a no no), it will be without me. I'm no gamer and prefer compact builds, no need or taste for expensive bulky Gpu's...
But hey, diversity and new ways are welcome, so great news anyway!!!!

Hey guys, remember there is a separate thread for the Apple-ARM-Nvidia discussion:

Thanks.
:)

Apple is paying ARM a license fee to create their own chips. So they will eventually be paying NVIDIA.

Apple will soon get rid of AMD GPU’s.
Then they will make their own GPU.
Just the same way, Apple got rid of Nvidia and Intel

AMD is the next one on tim hit list.
Yes, Apple will use AMD for now until AMD is no longer need it.

Once Apple make the transition to their so called Apple Silicon.

Most likely they will begin GPU development

So just like Intel, AMD days are numbered.

Well... Apple Sillicon is an ARM arquitecture based on A72, Nvidia purchase ARM, then control the licensing of ARM to Apple... sound interesting
