Need Help Figuring Out How OC Works

I have a question: actually I use ACPI Patch by mattystonnie (I found this patch in this forum) and it saves my life: without it, I can't boot the installer at all (ACPI error occurs).
Now I need it for OpenCore bootloader in order to boot Big Sur but I haven't understand how OC config.plist works. Someone can help me? Some ideas about it?

The patch find "A00A9353 54415301" and replace with "A00A910A FF0BFFFF"

I've always wondered why they say minimum of 12GB USB ? I don't think anyone even makes one this size. Big Sur is now over 12GB in size anyway. Shouldn't it say 16 GB USB ?

Even 32GB drives are super cheap today. Sell for just over 6 USD at Amazon.

Exactly! I have never come across one that size either and as you pointed out if there was one that size, it would prove inadequate for the install. You are the first to query that strange recommendation.

Perhaps they mean a USB stick with 12gb of space, in case it has partitions. (if that is even possible to do and still install macOS.)
