Hi all! :)
i'm new to hackintosh world and I wanted to install Mac OSX high sierra to my pc since I have seen other people who managed to do it with my components:

  • Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix Z370-F gaming
  • CPU: Intel Core i7 8700K
  • RAM:Corsair Vengeance Rgb pro 3200mhz cl16 (2x8)
  • GPU: Asus Rog Strix gtx 1050 ti
  • SSD1: Samsung 970 Evo 250gb (i need this 4 windows)
  • SSD2: intel optane 32gb (to speed up my hdd with all my files)
  • SSD3: Kingston uv400 120gb sata 3 (for music programs)
  • SSD3: Kingston uv400 120gb sata 3 (My idea is to install osx here and when I am sure it works, buy another 500gb ssd to install it)
  • PSU: Corsair RM750x
  • CPU Cooler: Corsair h100i v2
  • Case: Corsair Crystal 570X

I also have corsair fans and led strips with lighting node that according to what I understand work with the icue app for mac and a pcie wifi + bluetooth card that I know is not compatible but I don't care why I prefer to use ethernet ( ASUS PCE-AC55BT )

I downloaded high sierra from my macbook pro, create the installation usb with unibeast and try everything with clover but my knowledge is practically nil and when starting the installation I always got the same error: Fault cr2, fault cpu and mach reboot.:banghead::banghead::crazy:

My bios configuration is:

  • Advanced/Intel Virtualization Technology - Enabled
  • Advanced/System Agent (SA) Configuration/VT-d - Disabled
  • Advanced/System Agent (SA) Configuration/Graphics Configuration/Primary Display - PCIE
  • Advanced/System Agent (SA) Configuration/Graphics Configuration/iGPU Multi-Monitor - Disabled
  • Advanced/USB Configuration/Legacy USB Support - Enabled
  • Boot/CSM (Compatibility Support Module)/ Launch CSM - Disabled (I have tried with it enabled too)
  • Boot/Secure Boot/ OS Type - Other OS
  • also delete the secure boot keys
  • XMP activated

I am having a hard time understanding what is happening and I would love to learn so any help is welcome and I would be very grateful.

Thank you very much everyone for your attention, I hope you have a wonderful day:):)

As per forum rules, please complete your profile to include CPU, motherboard, and GPU.

You can try using the latest EFI folder from my Z370 build thread. Link is below in my signature.

Hi! thank you. I have tried replacing your efi folder with mine but the same thing keeps happening :(

I see that you have a GTX 1050 Ti. There's no support at all for your video card in macOS.

Hi! @pastrychef i finally got to install High Sierra:clap:! The problem was the intel optane and the intel rapid storage system was activated, I deactivated it, disconnected the intel optane from my pc, switched hard drives in ahci mode and removed the graphics card as a precaution and with your efi for intel hd 630 I got it!

Thank you very much :)

I decided to install high sierra because I thought it was the latest version of osx that could be compatible with nvidia pascal, isn't it anymore?

Now my problem is that I cannot install the nvidia web driver and I would also like the intel optane opreativo with my windows and macos partition to work without having to open the computer and unplug it. Is there any solution?

I hope to learn how to do this on my own and have to stop bothering you with noob questions.

Even so, thank you very much for all your attention, you have helped me a lot:)

Sorry, I have never messed with Intel Optane and never really looked in to getting systems to work with it installed.
