This problem is probably caused by an updated BIOS version for your ASUS motherboard.

Try this one first:
FIX for boot hangs after BIOS update (ACPI PATCH)
This is an ACPI Patch for the people who update to the last bios and can't boot. My board is the MSI B360A-Pro and has the latest bios 7B22v27. First add the patch (the blue line from the picture) to clover config, then apply the Bios update. To easily add the patch using terminal, read post #48

Motherboard wireless is much more difficult. Usually we say no, you can't use Intel, but there are some clever people out there actively working on drivers for Intel chipsets and if you read through the following you find people are trying the 9560. The technique though, is not very intuitive ...
[Success] WORKING Intel Wifi Drivers for 7265AC on Catalina
Only tested on 7265AC, should also work on other intel cards but not tested yet. This driver currently ONLY works in 10.15. First edit the Info.plist and add the ssid and password Then load the kext using terminal (Dont install directly into L/E): sudo mv ./*.kext /tmp sudo chown -R...

However, it might be easier just to replace the onboard Intel wireless with a Broadcom, macOS native card.
