Ive had this thunderbolt build for almost 9 years now and as my music production is advancing, im realizing that my CPU isnt keeping up with mid size projects. I thought about starting to research overclocking, but first i wanted to check up on my current performance (which i havent dont in years).

My current Build is:
GA-z77x-up5th version F12
Intel HD4000
Intel i7 3770k 3.5gHZ
16gb RAM
Currently On Mojave 10.14.6

To my surprise when i open up GeekBench 5 64bit, i realize the results it gives me is this: https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/3479927

Im shocked because ive seen other users in forums with a pretty identical build with a 10000 score-18000 score and i feel like if i can get this fixed, i dont need to upgrade.

I followed Storks Thunderball Guide BIOS and Multibeast Guide to get to Mojave. I dont remember but im sure i also got the Clover Config from there too, i dont remember much where i got that part from.

My BIOS is almost fully default, except Profile 1 and UEFI Only set.

Attatched is my config.plist (im suspicious something could be wrong there) or theres a BIOS setting im missing/wrong. All help is welcome :)

Make sure you're comparing GB5 with GB5 scores.

GB4 had a different set of tests and the scores are much different (and much higher).

I never actually considered that. I do know all of these other posts for my build are from 2012-2016, and i dont think its specified what version theyre using.

I went ahead and ran GB4 on it and it gave me 12300 multicore / 3717 Single Core. Does that seem right?

I don’t know - I only have GB5.

If you go on the GeekBench site you can look up what other users are getting with GB4 using the same CPU as yours.
