Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Hi! Documents attached. Note: This is NOT the SSDT that shows up in MacIASL; There is no reference to TZ10 in MacIASL even though it shows in the boot log. This was extracted via SysReport in OpenCore then decompiled via iasl in windows.
This is exactly the same bug as in Designare Z390. The variable Local0 is used in a conditional statement without first being assigned a value. Fortunately this bug is harmless!

Is this bug the reason iStat menus can't read any other fan value other than main CPU_FAN? It won't even read CPU_OPT

I think that might be more of a function of VirtualSMC not being updated for iMac20,x yet? (Just a guess, I could be completely wrong)

I just read your reply again and realized that it should not impact reading fan speeds. But on my vision g I can only read CPU_MAIN and no other fans.

hello lcoff!
i have nearly exact the same setup as you (same RAM, GPU, Wifi+BT, only difference: my CPU is i9 10900K and I use Evo 970 SSD) and i wonder why you are able to boot so quick!
My board takes 25 seconds from opencore to login-screen and its stuck for about 3 seconds on something about USB "missing required descriptor" or "power supply unavailable: assuming successful power". the rest of the 25 seconds are just running text, not stopping or waiting anywhere...

I am really interested in your BIOS-Settings if you have anything special and I want to ask which method you use for USB (because that seems to slow down my boot a bit).
Do you use the latest BIOS? have you flashed the thunderbolt-chip or is it original?
How long does your board take from power on to BIOS / Opencore?
Would it be possible to get your BIOS-profile and your EFI so I could test if my boot-speed changes with exactly your setup?
Sorry, for the delayed response. I am using the latest BIOS and for the settings I followed the instructions in this thread. No additional settings. Since, AFAIK, there are no differences between the 10900K and the 10900KF, other than integrated GPU, I would suspect the Samsung SSD. Although, the Rocket drives are much faster than an EVO.

I am using iStat Menus and noticed that the very few sensors are available. I would like to be able to display the GPU temperature. I also tried XRG with no luck. This leads me to believe that the sensors are just not active. Is there a way to enable these?

I am using 19,1
On Designare Z390 with the same bug and same sysdef (iMac19,1) there's no issue monitoring all fan speeds. On Z490 Vision D we also have no issue monitoring all fan speeds.

I guess this has something to do with iStat Menus. Because HWMonitorSMC2 is able to read all fans[1] while iStat will only read the CPU fan.

Which app are you using on Vision D to read the fan speeds?
