Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Thanks Looking at the newegg listing I couldnt tell if their were SATA ports or not.
The motherboard has 6 SATA ports, but depending on which NVMe M.2 slots you occupy, some of those 6 SATA ports become unusable. Please see the spoiler in Step 5 of Post 1 of this thread.

Thank you. So As I read the chart there even if all three M2 slots are used SATA3.1, 3.2 and 3.2 are available?

If you use only PCIe NVMe SSDs in those three M.2 slots (not SATA M.2 SSDs) then the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th SATA ports are usable. These are labeled SATA3-1, SATA3-2, SATA3-3.

What are your Microphone and Output settings?

That's extremely embarrassing; I was looking in Preferences.
Somehow it had set itself to 'Background Music', whatever that is.
Sorry for the simple question, but thanks for your help!

The CPU scores are fine, including Cinebench, which is CPU-intensive. Only the GPU scores are off. Are you using the same RadeonBoost on the Z490 Vision G?

yes, CPU is fine. GPU is not and rendering time in Final Cut. I tried with RadeonBoost no difference. Remember that on z390 using 1.1 increased my score cinebench to 220k from 180k with 19.1 and now is hardly 130k. I just connected VEGA 56 and got 129k and rendering was also minut faster but not close to 3 minutes like before. So in my case it was better that I stayed with z390 :( and i9 9900k since I use this mostly in Final Cut

If you're using the RadeonBoost kext, please type this in Terminal (on Z490 Vision G):
Code:
kextstat | grep -v apple
Do you see the kext listed in the output?

Hi again! I have to say I´m quite happy with my working hackintosh setup. However, I´d like to make it dual boot with windows now. How should I do it? Is there any guide you´d recommend? Any opencore settings I have to take into account?
I just tried creating a USB installer for windows with the rsync -wha command in terminal, I boot into windows but then I got stuck trying to install. I got an error when I selected the windows drive.

Hi,
Disconnects all other disks (including m.2). The installer should accept the installation.
I just had this problem today ;)

I installed Windows first (which took two days to get right (long story) as opposed to Mac install using Casey's instructions which took a couple of hours :)). Anyway, I had to reinstall Windows after I had installed Mac OS X. I had to remove the Mac OS X drive before I could reinstall Windows. Then reinserted the Mac OS X drive (both are NVM drives).

I do not see it there
