Me, tried both, are "the same thing", no issues with Catalina, everything still up and running. ... but in my case cant enter bios ... sometimes yes, sometimes not... i know that if I need BIOS must unplug something (memory, M2, SATA...).
I will try downgrade

Happend to me also today on v1001... but i was playing with video options ( gfx cards )...

Whats happend is that i cant see anything on display up till windows boot. Catalina was black ( display off ).

i' reset the bios and all is cool now.

Take a look here, seems to be a common problem . workaround, if you have Wdows, reboot pressing <shift> and wait, an options menu will appear, you must select other tools, boot UEFI, when boot, the system enters byitself at bios.

For me no such problem ...
However really strange.

By now it's solved, how.. don't know, suddenly started to enter bios normally. if not, I use the Wdows procedure. Catalina still working 100%, now my daily work "MAC". I have to see how to fix that my RX580 encode and decode H265 (HEVC) and H264. VideoProc doesn't see it, only way to use hardware to encode/decode is to enable the iGPU, but I know that it's possible with the RX580... except that little detail, all is super super stable. by the way, I have tried DJay Pro2 and midi DJ console and all perfect, and other midi stuff that I have here.

Try iMac Pro 1.1 SMBIOS...

Try iMac Pro 1.1 SMBIOS...

iMacPro1.1 SMBIOS does the job (connected using remote destkop confirmed that the RX580 was enabled to encode/decode, and did some tests to verify),

but... no USB ports. Tried enable all USB ports at bios, installed USBInjectAll.kext ( googling found that one guy solved doing this)... no USB ports.

here my config.plist if one see something wrong (sure there is). thanks in advance

I have tried different workarounds that found here, and in others sites (R#dd#t), and no way... no progress.
