Thanks that worked. Would you know how to get h264 hevc acceleration working? I have searched to no avail.
Have a look at my last update in the very first post of this thread and make sure you've got everything set as it is there. Also, you should be using 18,3 as your SMBIOS as it's closer to hardware spec than 14,2.

If anybody is interested in moving to OpenCore, here is my latest stable working EFI with OpenCore.

You need to adjust some settings in your config.plist :
  • PlatformInfo>generic (add your own MLB, Serial and SystemUUID)
  • DeviceProperties>add (put in your own devices, e.g. audio, graphics)

Maybe you need to put some other kexts in place. Propertree is a nice tool, to put their directories in your config.plist.

If you don't have emulated NVRAM, don't forget the Logout-Hook!

Use your own customized File (.aml) to Inject the USBPorts correctly.

Read this Guide before starting, it's energy saving!

Somebody got any improvements? Please let me know!

Thanks. Before I even consider this I need to know about the RX 580 in your profile. I need to buy a Catalina compatible card for the future but I am also tied to an old MacOS version. I have two apps that I must use once a year that are stuck on a Mavericks boot drive. Will that 580 let me boot to an old OS like Mavericks?

Currently with my 1080 Ti card I can simply slide out my High Sierra boot drive and slide back in my Mavericks drive and it boots. What will happen with an OpenCore setup on one disk and a Clover on the other? Or with a new RX 580 GPU?
