I hate to say this, but perhaps it’s time to consider a fresh install? I would start right away with OpenCore 0.6.0. That mini guide has instructions for Mojave. Just create the OC 0.6.0 EFI folder, copy it to the EFI partition of the Mojave installation flash disk, and run a new install. Be sure to unlock MSR 0xE2 first. Instructions are at the bottom of the OC 0.6.0 mini guide.

Thanks for the tip ill try it tomorrow
But its not dangerous to leave it without the heat shield?

Actually my EVO 970 Plus is 59 C° while im doing nothing special, just coding

Not all motherboards include them so it's probably fine. My stats might be low given I had both case doors open, but mine are both usually low to mid 50s with the shields on.

I have a smaller build that is a home server and it has no shield on it at all.

@Inqnuam @joostiphone @Hackintoshron

I am installing Big Sur right this moment on my main Designare system and the same install disk is working perfectly. 25 minutes left to go.

I really don’t know why Big Sur installer doesn’t like my Test Bench.

However, the main system has i7-9700K whereas the Test Bench has i5-9600K.
what if you switch the stockage drives from the working Designare to the other one and test it again?
Or once installed on your main Designare put that stockage drive into the "bad" Designare

dumb question but are your 2 Designares are on the same BIOS version?

Hey, @CaseySJ I finally got around to updating Z390 BIOS (to F9b), Clover, WhateverGreen, Lilu, AppleAPC and then following the Mojave to Catalina (in-place) upgrade. Everything appears to be working in Catalina, although I did have to change shikigva=16 back to shikigva=80 to get Netflix DRM playback back in Safari. The only hiccup I have is my USB port configuration is not what it was on Mojave. Is there a quick and easy way to get that back?

Thanks, once again, for a great guide and the awesome support!
Can you please explain? Were you using a different USB SSDT? What is the make/model of your computer case?

macOS Big Sur Public Beta 1 is running better on my Hackintosh than on my MBP 2013 Retina and this is not a joke...

There’s a 7-year difference between them...

In the OpenCore 0.6.0 ZIP for Z490 Vision D, however, IntelMausi v1.0.3 is used.

I upgraded to v1.0.3 from your Z490 EFI on my (Z390) system and it works in Mojave via OpenCore 0.6.0 and Clover 5120. Since it's somewhat newer, I think I'll roll with that going forward!

just an example:
I can't use GUI of Apple Music .app to select and play a music, but works with the on-board keyboard.
No problem with the Hackintosh
