[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Testing OC 0.6.0. I did what Casey's very clear guide told me to, but I was greeted by iCloud and Bitwig login problems. Sure enough, I had a new serial. Weird, as I copied the magic numbers from my Clover setup using Hackintool. Did I miss something? The Open Core Configurator was a little different from the one in the screenshot, and terminology(names of the fields) was slightly different, but I double checked and saw no mistake.

Anyone else had trouble with this? This is essential for me, lots of commercial software checks the serial on launch.

The Open Core Configurator was a little different from the one in the screenshot,
Have you updated the app to the last version?

OC 0.6.0 guide EFI worked a treat for me... I added my own USBPort.kext using Hackintool and added: layout-id 16 in PCI to add all the rear audio ports correctly. Only issues I have is that UHD630 does not show up anywhere on my system information screen only rx570 in graphics, also rx750 does not show up within PCI list in system information. Now I know I don't really need it but my last hack was 100% complete and therefore I'd really like this one to be also. I understand that UHD630 broke recently for Catalina Hacks, I'm running Catalina 10.15.6... any suggests people for either issues?!

Have you added your USBPort.kext here and activated it?
also delete USBInjectAll.kext
or simply rename your USBPort.kext filename to USBInjectAll.kext

Has anyone had any success upgrading to Big Sur from Clover using this build? From what I've read seems like the right time to switch to OpenCore due to increased security polices and such, any tips on how to migrate to OC smoothly with as much of my current build config as possible? Thanks.

Clover does not yet support Big Sur. Either boot with OC or wait for a supported version of Clover. It is quite easy to move to OC from Clover.

  1. We should open Clover config.plist in Clover Configurator and copy these 3 items from SMBIOS:
    • Serial Number
    • System UUID
    • Board Serial Number
  2. These values should be pasted into the designated fields in OpenCore Configurator --> PlatformInfo --> DataHub...
  3. MSR 0xE2 (CFG-Lock) also needs to be unlocked.

That's what I did, but I used Hackintool instead of Clover Configurator.
