I'd very much appreciate your USBMap.kext file once you've created it.

Sure, I'll post it here when I've made it, probably sometime next week

My motherboard is Z490 Gaming X(non m). Everything is working smoothly .My EFI folder is already attached. Please tell me the solution for 0MHz RAM notification in Geekbench 4. Further, did you searched for any different boot loader Theme...?? Please Reply as soon as possible...!! Thanks in advance

Nice, congrats! The 0Mhz thing in Geekbench is probably just a display error. I haven't used any bootloader themes, prefer the simple all-text switcher

Hey, @nazrm - Your guide worked great and I a wonderfully fast system that's running pretty much flawlessly. Have you been able to figure out how to keep your PCI-e cards "awake" during system sleep (my Broadcom card, which has a blue light, totally goes dark upon sleep so keyboard/mouse won't cause a wake)?

Great to hear! I don't run any PCIE cards so I don't know about the sleep issue. Did you try "wake for ethernet network access" in Energy settings? Probably not relevant but might be worth a shot

Does sidecar works?

I mapped USB-port today.

Attached my updated config.plist and EFI-folder in the main post with USBMap.kext for the mapping and SSDT-USBX for USB power.

I also updated to Opencore 0.6.0

Thanks! Did that do anything to improve performance or rather just tidy up your System Report (here's what I see with SSDT-EC-USBX-DESKTOP from Dortania)?

The USBX-SSDT only fixes power provided by the ports, not the port mapping itself (and afaik you can't see what it does in the system info pane), so I believe yours and mine are the same, even though mine was generated as a part of port mapping. The mapping process is described in detail on Dortania and on the General help forum here , and is basically just restricting the amount of ports to below 15 (because MacOS has a limit on the amount of USB ports) and defining port types so MacOS can run normally. If you don't do this you might have a host of problems, like an unstable system, random boot issues/reboots, non-working USB-ports, ports with subpar speeds etc.

Sounds good, @nazrm. My biggest annoyance at present is I cannot wakeup my machine from sleep with my BCM943602CDP combo card via Keyboard/Mouse. I have to use the Power button on my case to do so.

Questions:

  1. Thoughts on the above?
  2. Our motherboard supports USB 3.2 - USBMapper doesn't seem to support the higher bandwidth (10 gbps) only USB 3.0 (5 gbps); can this be achieved?

NAZRM - Thank you. I used this on an Asus Z490m-plus and it worked. I am trying to figure out open core to tweak it, but am a dolt with open core.

Nothing else worked to get mine to boot. The first time it booted, I was stunned that it worked. Thanks
