Hi all, would love your help! After days my USB functionality won't work. With USB SSDT it instead wont boot.

The Problem:
Most ports were unrecognized aside from front usb2.

I used USBscript to map and generate a SSDT-UIAC.aml, but it won't boot.

I’m using a USB stick to get to clover and boot.

Please assist with: =)

I’m hoping to get usb3 speeds and ideally the rear thunderbolt to work on my build (parts below)

Below is a link to my config.plist and entire EFI folder.

Any other nonsense you may see in there, feel free to point out.

The Build:

High Sierra 10.13.6 // 17G66

NZXT 700i case

i9 9900k

Z390 Aorus Master Motherboard

Samsung 970 EVO M.2 (OS Drive)

Samsung 850 1TB SSD x2 (Backup drive and edit drive)

WD Red Pro 6TB x2 (Temp footage and transfer drive)

Dual EVGA Geforce GTX 1080 Ti GPUs (One display port in use on each going to separate monitors - )

64GB 2400 Corsair Sport Ram

1200W PSU

Wifi via pcie card (working)

Bluetooth via usb 2.0 dongle (working)

Goals:

-Boot without USB plugged in

-USB3 and Thunderbolt functionality for file transfers

You need to have your hardware profile filled out as per rules (the ones you agreed to when signing up here)

you could try using:
Hackintool:

to create your usb's

Hi @Akat4 did you mannage to get up and running with all your usb3's working with full speed? im also trying to run the same setup but with 1 gtx 1080ti after my old rig died if you have had any luck could you please post a working efi folder thanks.

lol with "USB3 and Thunderbolt functionality for file transfers" if possible i use real big files so kinda need the usb3 to be working fully but am happy with it if the rest is working. would mess with it my self but i currently do not have accesses to a other mac to edit the setting in clover because my MB died on me today...

If the EFI provided is good you should be able to install High Sierra. After that create your own USB SSDT so that all the ports you want to use will work. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/a-beginners-guide-to-creating-a-custom-usb-ssdt.272505/

hi thanks for the advice took the chance and iv manage to get in to the installer and reinstall with my old usb boot drive and it booted up pretty much straight away with all the bios settings enabled, loaded in installed 10.13.6 Build (17G65) installed the nvidia web drivers for (17G65) every thing booted ran the update and managed to finish up what I was in the middle of working on before my MB on my old rig died and lead me to here. end up using a Combo of this efi and and other 1 I found online i took a bit of what was working with both and got this working since some of the USB ports didn't work using this efi and the more of the ports did using the other efi I found and with both efi it wasn't picking up my cpu correctly in about this Mac it just said 3.6 GHz unknown, I had to edit that manually to Intel Core i7-9700k @ 3.6 GHz.

but once I did that when I ran Geekbench my score dropped from before I edited the processor name/id i'v tried setting it up with a different smbios model identifiers, manage to get it running using macpro6.1, imac18.3 which is what the 2 efi folders I ended up using were both running on and iMacPro 1.1 and gives me around the same score as the imac18.3 before I changed the cpu name but it does on the odd times boot like normal and as the load bar goes to start up it goes to the white apple denied access logo but when I restart it it'll just start as normal and some time it'll be fine boot after boot and it'll go to the white apple denied access logo again and when I restart and it'll go to the white apple denied access logo again and ill restart it and it'll boot fine but its ended up keeps hanging on the load bar like most of the way then stops and does nothing so I have to revert back to imac18.3.

iv tried to set it to imac19.1 because it's the closest to what processor chip I'm running a 9700k and iv seen that some other people have that smbios model identifier selected but when ever I set the smbios model identifier to imac19.1 when it goes to boot up instead of booting up like it dose with the other 3 smbios iv used it gives me the white apple denied access logo again for what ever reason other people have imac19.1 selected on similar setups so it clearly must work am i missing some thing in the efi, would I get better performance with that smbios model identifier imac19.1.

aside from that every thing working pretty much fine soo far all my ssd and nvme drives are as fast as they are suppose to be my 1080ti picked up and working the usb3 ports seem to be working not at full speed tho the front panel usb3 only 1 works writing in the low-mid 100's and reading at around the high 300's-400's the ones at the back the 2 usb3.1 ports coloured yellow are writing in the high 100's and reading at around the mid 300-400 and the other 3 usb3.1 ports in red are writing in the low-mid 100's and reading at around the high 300's-400's the usb type-c I can't tell you as I don't have any thing thats usb type-c, no bluetooth and wifi as im reading on some other post there not supported and I have no igpu showing up i do have it enabled in the bios,

but there is 1 thing thats a bit of a problem and kinda extremely unhelpful with what I'm doing as well and its a other random thing and it is that the system would just suddenly like log me out and ill have to enter the password to log me back in again and what ever I was doing exporting stops and I would have to start it again and hope I can get what I need to get done before it does it again and I would have to go thru the processes again which I did and as I said its random you can imagine how helpful that is when you got to export a big file or some thing, like as I'm typing this now today its done it twice about 5 hours ago in the space of like 20-30min and it's not done it again since.......iv posted the efi if any can have a glance at it and may be point out and correct where iv gone wrong or if any 1 has a fully working system matching the hardware and could post theirs that be amazing. thanksagain to every 1 in the forum tho for all your help and input as always it's extremely appreciate.
