pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Any idea if that applies to OpenCore as well?

Yes, both Clover and OpenCore need to be updated.

Currently, installation of the Big Sur Public Beta can't be completed in the conventional way.
If you have access to a real Mac, you can use the real Mac to do the installation then transplant the drive back to a hackintosh or clone the Big Sur Public Beta drive to a hackintosh. Then Clover and OpenCore should be able to run it fine. Only the installation is a problem.

Yes, just use that EFI. Copy/paste the System Definition, Serial, Board Serial, and UUID from your existing config.plist to the included config.plist.

Hi,Pastrychef! Thank you for your great work! Currently I'm using Mojave on EFI Unified 5.1.2 with iMacPro1,1 definition. Everything works well including DRM. I've tried update to Catalina on EFI Clover 5117 and faced some issues. iStat Menus doesn't show GPU Die under Sensors menu and speed of two fans instead of five. Actually it's not a big problem, but additionally Davinci Resolve Studio crash at checking licence. Same behaviour in Mojave on EFI Clover 5117. I've tried use 5114 and 5120, no effect. Moreover, on these build I have some errors on black screen before macOS start loading.

Can you help me to understand where might be a problem?

My gear: Asus ROG Srtix Z370-G Gaming (not WiFi) - i7-9700K - Sapphire Nitro+ RX 570 8Gb

The change is FakeSMC to VirtualSMC. FakeSMC provides more sensors.

I don't know what it is about VirtualSMC that's causing Davinci Resolve to crash...

Please try replacing VirtualSMC with FakeSMC.
Navigate to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/.
Delete SMCProcessor.kext, SMCSuperIO.kext, and VirtualSMC.kext.
In the same folder, install the attached kexts.

I'm facing reduction in FPS post-10.15.6.

Additionally, move around desktops have a much laggier animation (This is obviously less than 60fps).

Game I played originally went around 140fps, now its 120.

I haven't spent enough time on my Z370-G to notice any changes...

I noticed that my system freezes 2 seconds after I wake it from sleep mode. I run your latest EFI with clover. Maybe you have a tip for me which setting I should look first?

After wake, does the screen display desktop? Is the clock still working? Besides the hardware listed in your profile, do you have any other hardware installed? Did you fix USB? Do you have XMP enabled or disabled?

After wake, the screens shows and the mouse works for a few seconds. THen everything freezes and the clock stops as well. Also the external USB disks shows that they haven't been properly disconnected. I need to reboot by pressing the power switch.

So i guess it must be related to USB. I fixed USB by downloading the SSDT-USB.aml and I put it into the patched folder. Also I excluded the USB ports in config.plist like this "uia_exclude=HS07;HS08;HS09;HS10;HS11;HS13;HS14;SS07;SS08;SS09;SS10" I know its a little bit different than your configuration, but I need one of the ports to power my bluetooth module. XMP is also activated in the BIOS.

Maybe I need to adjust the SSDT-USB.aml also to my different port settings? Also I am a little bit confused by the SSDT-EC-USBX.aml. It is the first time I see it in that folder. Also, I think wake/sleep worked before. I just dont use it very often so I cannot say on which configuration it stopped.

Your current USB configuration sounds fine. SSDT-EC-USBX is different and does different things. Don't worry about that.

After you reboot, do you get a kernel panic log? If so, please copy/paste the output here.

Also, try removing WhateverGreen and see if it solves your problem.
