Sounds like a lot of progress, congrats! I don't know the RX 5500xt, but my RX 580 Nitro+ has a very small slide switch at the top rear of the card. If the slide is forward, performance is best but fan is noisy when card is "fully loaded" with a benchmark or video game. If the slide is to the rear, the fans are quieter but performance is down roughly 30%.

Just wanted to thank you.
I have a Z370m Mortar (MSI) and it wouldn't let me get past v1.5.
I just applied your ACPI patch, flashed my BIOS to the latest 1.9 and voila.
Thank you!

Hello everyone!
After many years I try again to create my new hackintosh.
USB stick created with Unibest and Catalina 10.15.6
Unfortunately I can not install, apfs error as per screen allied. my current configuration is under signature.
Could the patch be useful for my problem?

Thanks.. but i searched forum pages but no luck,
I read that I have to put SSDT-EC.aml in / EFI / CLOVER / ACPI / patched, do I just have to copy it to the folder or do I have to make any changes in the config.plist file?

just copy the file

Hi, here is a much more correct solution. Because the STAS variable need controls other device AWAC. Tested on Z370 Gigabyte AORUS GAMING 7-OP and Intel NUC 8. Only unpack and copy this SSDT table to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched.

So i have used this patch to install my OS, but i must have wrecked something because now i'm stuck on PCI configuration again.

Does anyone know if this applies to other chipsets besides the 300 series? I updated my laptop bios, and it stuck here.

Tried the patch. Didnt work. Got stuck on loading gfx firmware. Tried booting with the "disablegfxfirmware" argument, but got stuck at the same spot in the post above.
