I updated the driver but the issue is still there. And not only with iStats that is outdated but with iStatistica Pro too...and this one is updated for Catilina

@djlild7hina
I ordered a new Gigabyte GC Titan Ridge Card because buying a raspberry kit to program the chip is expansive than buy a card just flashed. It's from USA so it will need time to arrive.
Reading your previous post I suppose you are using a flashed Titan Ridge Card....right? So my question is...what SSDT you are actually using for a flashed tb3 card? And I read Casey post but I didn't understand well the procedure to assign an unique ID (maybe it's very simple and I didn't read it well...) so I will ask you to help me when I will receive the card.

anyone has experience with AMD Radeon Performance Enhanced SSDT by @mattystonnie with 5700xt on build based on kgp guide?

the SSDT does nothing for me, he mentions to rename PEGP to EGP0, i dont see any pegp in my setup, only gfx0

I use RadeonBoost.kext which does the same thing easier, but you don’t need this stuff with 5700xt. That’s for Polaris and Vega only, it patches the gpu firmware to operate at higher clocks overriding Apple drivers. Actually I think It causes problems with Navi and is clearly stated to not use it. Forget about it

hello friends, finally im on the installing path!

i have 2 hardware bugs- system temp at idle is cpu- 45c mobo- 50c, which is a bit high. and not all memory is recognized- only slots C1 and D1, ignoring A1 and B1.

im going for the OpenCore way and have two questions regarding the order of the installation:

1. when is a good time during the install process to run ubuntu in order to flash the 10g chips? i dont need the ubuntu afterwards.

2. when is a good time during the install process to run windows 10 in order to configure the thunderbolt? i remember reading that OC supports BootCamp, so maybe this is a better way to have multiboot sys?

i remember on Camelion and Clover days that multi boot systems are trickier to work with and can cause disk structure curruption, is that the case with OpenCore also? i can live without windows, done that for the past 15 years on hacks.

thanks in advance!

ps i cant edit signature somehow, will try again later.

Hello @djlild7hina and company:

I have read the thread from start to finish and I have learned a lot thanks to you and many other collaborators, but there are two things that I am not entirely clear on:

1.- I have an Asus X299 Prime de Luxe board (v.1) and a 10900X processor, on the Asus website it indicates that the Bios 2002 works with this processor. I have patched the bios and put the SSDT-RTC0 in the ACPI / Patched folder of the EFI but when it starts it causes a kernel. Is there a way to use Prime de Luxe v1 with the 10900x processor and bios 2002?

2.- I have read something about the Thunderbolt card flash, is that applicable to the TBEX3, Alpine and Titan? Or just to Titan? I have an ASUS Hyper M.2 X16 card and it only works on Slot 4 (PCIe 3) this is the default slot for the thunderbolt card, if I put the thunderbolt card in another slot, even if I change the PCI0, 1, X, no It works well. If I flash the card, can I use it in any slot?

Thanks and sorry for my English, I use Google Translator ;)

1. BIOS 2002 does not need to be patched, only 3006. If you want to use 2002, reflash with the original BIOS and make sure MSR lock is disabled in the BIOS. Also make sure SSDT-RTC0 is enabled in your config.plist
2. Yeah it should work. Make sure you update the SSDT with ioreg and BIOS settings to be adapted to the new slot.

Sounds like there may be an issue with your motherboard if not all ram is recognized.

But regarding OC,
I would flash the 10g chips and install windows before installing macOS. It's still highly recommended to keep macOS and windows on separate drives.

1- I have to put the SSDT-RTC0.aml in ACPI / PATCHED but I don't know how I can put it in the config.plist, add or replace something?
2- Can you indicate a link for Flash Thunderbolt Cards?

Thank you for your patience

1. Instructions are listed in my GitHub. Are you using OpenCore? The Base-EFI already has this configured.
  1. Double check that SSDT-RTC0.aml is in your EFI folder under EFI-OC-ACPI. If you already have SSDT-AWAC.aml, you can replace it with SSDT-RTC0.aml
  2. Double check that SSDT-RTC0.aml is an entry in your config.plist under ACPI-Add. If you already have SSDT-AWAC.aml, you can replace it with SSDT-RTC0.aml.
    • Comment (String) SSDT-RTC0.aml
    • Enabled (Boolean) YES
    • Path (String) SSDT-RTC0.aml
2. Look at CaseySJ's thread.
