Hello

I have started a hackintosh build, I followed the tmx86 guide for Catalina here and I get stuck on the apple logo. I am pretty new to hackintosh in general and I think after 4 hours of trying to figure it out I have to reach out to the community for help.

I have a computer setup with the following specs for workstation purposes
CPU: E3-1220 V6
Motherboard: Supermicro X11SSH-F
RAM: 4x16gb unbuffered ECC
Graphics: Asus OC Dual RX 580

Any help is highly appreciated.

My goal is to be able to run FileMaker, Munki( if you have a tip to where I can learn this please PM, ) brew, and iTerm

I have moved the USB installer from the blue USB( 3.0 ) to the black USB( 2.0 ) socket.

Now currently stuck at:

'''
com.apple.AppleFSCompressionTypeZlib load succeeded
com.apple.AppleFSCompressionTypeDataless load succeeded
roo
'''

Previous reboot got me stuck here:
'''
com.apple.AppleFSCompressionTypeZlib load succeeded
com.apple.AppleFSCompressionTypeDataless load succeeded
rooting
'''

Hi there.

What type of SSD are you using?

:)

M.2 PCI of the type: ADATA ASX8200PNP SSD

Okay

If you search our site you will find others who state this ADATA SSD works OOB with macOS. Maybe check any BIOS settings for the J23 port. You should see LED "LE3" light when accessed?

I can't quite tell from the photos, but is the M.2 socket double-height, for 2x devices? If so try the other socket etc.

The other thing to consider is your dual RX580 setup. The system could be freezing at the point where the discrete graphics kick-in. So try with just one. However looking at the screengrab, I still lean towards the M.2 NVMe socket.
