[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Yes, I'm on 10.14.6 and I went back to Clover 4xxx so you'll see driver64uefi below. Not sure if there was something specific you wanted for the "finder window" screenshot, if so just let me know. Thanks!
  • Is this for your Lenovo system?
  • Are the two EFI folders the same (on internal SSD and backup SSD)?
    • Same config.plist, same drivers64UEFI, and same kexts/Other?
  • Occasionally, a CMOS Reset helps with issues like this. But BIOS parameters will need to be re-configured afterwards.

Yeah, it's the Lenovo in my profile. Everything looks the same. I'll give the CMOS reset a try. Thanks for taking a look!

you have the original i have the firmewäre not ?
It is very important to save the original firmware when we flash the chip. I am truly surprised that you didn't save the original file. Please see here:

Certainly. Workarounds are not confidence inspiring and should be temporary.

My suggestion to anyone facing USB stability issues -- and who already has a Thunderbolt 3 dock -- is to move the "complex" USB devices over to the Thunderbolt dock.

This may help us determine whether the problem is truly with the motherboard or the manner in which macOS is configured.

After all, how do we know this problem won't occur on Asus boards as well? These motherboards typically use the same Intel USB 3.x controller built into the PCH chipset. Thunderbolt 3 docks often use ASMedia USB controllers.
I moved from Asus to GB for USB stability issue. I am not sure how much of that was chipset or the controller used, but have not experienced any instability with USB ports. I mapped everything out using USBMap.kext and using opencore 0.5.9. I do use Caldigit TS3+ TB dock and connect all my mission critical devices (Camera, capture card, Audio Interface, 4K monitor) so that I can easily swap between my MBP and Hackintosh with one cable. I will try connecting some of those devices to the Desginare port, to see if I can reproduce any instability. But, so far, the MB has been rock solid.

Just one quick question, shouldn't Platform ID for IGPU headless be 0x3E920003 instead of 0x3E980003?

I'm about 1 meter from the Fenvi antennas,
tried with the Gigabyte ones, its a little bit better, but the differences isn't so much.
I even can't go to the toilet with my AirPods because the sound lags.
my iPhone 6 have a better antenna on it

Hey there, I also have Airpod Pros and the Fenvi T919 card installed on a bottom PCIE slot with the top slot being a 16x GPU.

I found that the specific antenna for bluetooth was loose (the antennas don't screw on very well....) and tightening it helped me.

For me, the range wasn't an issue, but the Airpod Pros kept crashing I think because the microphone kept getting activated. Going to Sound Preferences and both setting the Input to Line In and cycling the Output would reset it briefly.

It's only the Airpod Pros for me, my other bluetooth headphones with mic don't have this issue..

Thanks! If you do run into USB stability problems after moving some devices to on-board ports, please let us know.

0x3E920003 is for mobile CPUs, but 0x3E980003 is for desktop 9th Gen CPUs.

I have the same TB3 Dock, namely the OWC 14-Port Thunderbolt 3 dock. It was purchased on November 27, 2018 and has worked well ever since...
I think it's my cable. I tried it on my MBP and, it fails to work on that too. I'll have to try to find a cable that works, and report back.

Interestingly enough, not to shoot myself in the foot here, but I haven't had any issues since I've switched to that other EFI setup, although... I have been rebooting into Windows for a few hours every night. I think I tend to see issues when I leave the system in OSX running for days at a time more so than not.
