[Guide] HP Elite 8300 & 6300 Pro (all form factors) using Clover UEFI hotpatch

At this point do you all think that perhaps changing to OpenCore might simplify the entire situation? And if so, are there some instructions for such a migration? I kinda like to review all the steps and get an eagle's eye overview before jumping into such things with both feet if an OpenCore changeover is warranted...

I followed this guide to install Catalina and everything went well on 8300 SFF with GT 720 GPU.
But the only issue I'm having right now is and can't boot up when I try to generate custom SSDT and place the file into the patched EFI folder. I got a warning message saying that 'cpu-type' maybe be set improperly (0x0604 instead of 0x0704).

I also did change the CPU type on the config list or DROP OEM but no luck.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am interested in why it cannot be boot.
Can you attach the console log when ssdtPRGen.sh is executed?

ssdtPRGen.sh seems to work (create) normally.
However, I have no idea what caused it not to work.

I have commented on the phenomenon that it does not work on RX570/580, so please refer here and try it.

I've attached ssdt.aml for the i5-3570 I'm currently using, so please try it.

Hi.

Thanks for the ssdt file.

I have tested the file and it has the same issue. But after doing some google and find out that AppleKeyStore error is related to SMbios issue.

So i changed to imac14,1 and it solved the boot issue.

Not sure why this happen only when i put SSDT file in the patch folder

It was good that you could solve it yourself.
It seems that the time has come to select SMBIOS from similar GPUs instead of selecting SMBIOS from similar CPUs.

I am confused because the phenomenon that occurs depends on the GPU used.

The attached ssd.aml is used by SMBIOS=iMac13.2 Mojave.
The power setting seems to change depending on SMBIOS, so please refer to the following post and recreate it.

Not my first time trying to install Mojave on my HP8300 with I7-3770 but first time with this guide and it was successful, thank you so much!

Only issue I ran into was with the Power Management section, "Custom SSDT.aml using ssdtPRGen.sh" When I installed the custom SSDT.aml, the system would not boot, the progress bar under the apple just completed and then got stuck there. When I don't use the custom SSDT.aml, everything seems to work.

people keep having that problem using SSDTPRGen. Could you zip up the SSDT.aml and post it?
