Thanks for the reply. So it does what it's supposed to? Was thinkning Corsair RGB RAM and a few QL's. Is the software sub-par or support just flakey. Wasn't sure if they'd support fans given mac builds

I only have K95 keyboard and M55 mouse, software works perfect with them. Don't know about ram or fans, sorry!

Sorry, meant to reply to this a while ago. I'm running 4 LL's, a Corsair AIO (H115i PRO RGB), some G.Skill RAM, and a Sapphire Nitro+ 5700 XT, and I can't control any of them in MacOS. In Win10, no problem. I was reading through the Corsair threads for iCUE about a year ago and it seemed like the developers said they wanted to bring MacOS iCUE support for peripherals only, not internal RGB components. So basically keyboards and mice only.

I panicked when I first built this thing, because the LL's did not light up AT ALL upon installing MacOS and I was really upset about it. However, after booting into Win10 and messing with some of the color profiles, I got the default color profile to stick after switching back to MacOS. Since then, I haven't messed with the color profiles because I honestly like the default a lot, as it's uniform with my non-corsair RGB stuff.

To add some more context, this is what I see inside iCUE on the latest version. It would be awesome if Corsair got us iCUE support, but why would they? We are such a niche market for them compared to regualr PC builders.

Sorry, I missed this reply. I ended up building on a Designare Z390, as per Casey's Golden Build. I used all the same SSDT's etc but built it Vanilla. I went for Corsair Vengeance RAM after finding out that it does store defaults unlike the gskill tridentz. Problem is I can't even address them successfully in Windows. I can open the software, see the ram, make maybe one change and then the RAM drops out and does weird uncoordinated colour cycles. To regain control I have to reboot and discharge caps, resetting has no effect. This is driving me mad. Have tried Aura and Fusion but neither pick anything up at all.

WRT fan LEDs I went with a hardware only controller, the LSB02e from Silverstone. Maddeningly it seems they sent me a dodgy controller. I can switch fans on and off (ie. control rotation), but the LED's are all stuck on white. This really makes no sense seeing as there is no software control. Going to send the box back and kinda wishing I'd never heard of LED.

If your goal is to get a specific color scheme going, then I'm not sure what to suggest. Like I said already, I just have my LL's, AIO, and Trident Z on random rainbow cycle and honestly, it looks fantastic. See below. But, maybe give the LL's and the TridentZ a try and see if you can get a color scheme to stick going from Win10 to MacOS. I feel like it can be done. Otherwise, just hope that iCUE supports LL's in MacOS soon.

However, I will say that whenever 11th Gen & Big Navi drops, I'm probably going to switch to an ITX-platform using the NCASE M1, which I have my secondary build, "Loki", in right now and I love it (even though it's $$$). And at that point, I will ditch the RGB for good. It was fun to look at, but I also want some more desk space so I can fit a 3rd monitor in here.

What I'm trying to say is, RGB is cool for a little bit, but it doesn't add too much to your build besides showing off to friends every once in a while, which is fun, but then again, do you REALLY need it? I don't think I do anymore.

That does look great but I'm looking for something more subtle. Single colour across the board and RAM, 2 other colours for fans. I got the LSB02E Silverstone controller but I must have a dud unit as it just lights everything white, now awaiting a replacement. The skill will never retain settings but I eventually managed to get the vengeance to take a colour. Had to enable SM-Bus. I can't access any fancy patterns, even in Windows, without iCue crashing. What a piece sh!t that software is. They'll never support fans for Mac, I can't see why they would TBH and given how unreliable the SW is I think hopes are better off pinned to third party developers. Fingers crossed though
