[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hello!

everytime i put the computer to sleep it wakes up after 2 seconds.

I'm curious on which card did you use on pci. I just bought a Camlink 4K and I'm having trouble with it. (in fact i Think it's OBS). I saw that the DeckLink Mini Recorder 4K has compability with Macs, just not sure if with our build.

I can't manage to use apple HT hardware for encoding, it is recording choppy and in wrong FPS... that's why I think it's an OBS thing. x264 works ok, but take a lot of my CPU when recording 4k.
You really should try EcammLive (https://www.ecamm.com). Though I don't have a Camlink 4K (might get one in the future), I have streamed with this software without a problem for the last 3-4 months using up to three different cameras simultaneously. Ecamm has the Calming on their list of recommended equipment and supports the device fully (https://support.ecamm.com/en/articles/3222235-recommended-equipment). It's very good software, not free, but very reasonable. Though a lot of people seem to like OBS, it doesn't seem as Mac friendly to me as it should. I've streamed 4K with no CamLink or any other special converter to Youtube with my rig and it works pretty well but mostly I do regular HD.

Hello! I'm trying to investigate what is producing annoying coil whine when I set higher sample rate on UAD Apollo Twin X audio interface. 48KHz works fine, but when I set higher rate in my DAW, high pitched noise is being emitted by either PSU, GPU or MB itself (or all at once).

I was thinking to switch from RX580 HDMI to onboard HDMI to check if GPU is causing the problem. I've already made these manipulations in Hackintool, adjusted DVMT value to 64, updated Lilu and WhateverGreen to latest versions, however got various kernel panics while boot. Should I make any edits in Clover as well?

And in general, is coil whine considered to be a common issue on this z390 build?

Hello!

Please see the Sleep Aids Guide here:

I've been having a recurring issue.. happens once every day or two, where ALL of my USB ports just go offline.
Unplugging and replugging usb cables doesn't help. all I can do is reboot.

Anyone else seen this?

Loads of people are reporting similar issues on their hackintoshes, both here on tonymacx86 and other similar sites. It is even happening on some real Macs as well.

Hello how do i fix this??

Are you saying that you haven't got this working in Mac OS yet?

Yes, apologies - I’ve only got this on Win10. I don’t need OSX build so haven’t gone down Hackintosh route. I don’t have easy access to OSX to try to install that in dual boot
