[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hi!

I upgraded clover to 5118 today, alongside with LiLu (1.4.5) , WEG (1.4) and Apple ALC (1.5) as a preperation for installing Mojave Security Update 2020-003.

Everything worked, but after the restart my bluetooth is gone :(
Using the BCM94360CS2 adapter,

It works in clover boot selection and windows, however in macos it says "no information found" in system report/bluetooth.
Before the updating everything worked silky smooth including AirDrop etc.

Can somebody point me into the right direction how to maybe get it working again?

I already tried resetting the (emulated) nvram.

Edit: Could updateing have interfered with the USB-Mapping somehow?

thank you very much for any help!
Please do two things:
  1. Run IORegistryExplorer and scroll the device tree on left side until you see XHC. Don't use the 'search' field. Then you'll see HS11 and HS12. Capture and post a screenshot (CMD-SHIFT-4).
  2. Go to System Information --> Bluetooth and post screenshot. But blank-out any private information from the screenshot.

Thanks for your answer.
Here it is 2 config.plist
-Layou11???? is my config after your guide
-Layout16????? is my config after trying your inject audio layout16 only guide
We should use Layout 11.
  • When we connect headphone to front panel, the port name changes to "Headphone"
  • When we connect headphone to rear green jack, the port name changes to "Internal Speakers"

Bonjour @CaseySJ

I have successfully tested Z490 Vision D NVM50 firmware (patched firmware) on Z390 Designare with some minor modifications like:
  • SubsystemID revert back to Designare
  • Modified DROM including Port 7 activation
  • Modified DROM including Apple system name (could be reverted back to Gigabyte)
  • Original Designare UID (00 00 .. ED) included on DROM in order to be customised on ThunderboltDROM property
This file include (as Z490 Vision D):
  • version 1.37.0 of Link controller firmware (instead of 0.99.0 of Designare)
  • version 1.38.6 of TI Power Delivery firmware (instead of 1.38.4 of Designare)
Capture d’écran 2020-06-02 à 22.08.28.png

Results seem to be very good including Sleep/Wake with my HP eGPU. I join this new testing file :)

We should use Layout 11.
  • When we connect headphone to front panel, the port name changes to "Headphone"
  • When we connect headphone to rear green jack, the port name changes to "Internal Speakers"
So I put bag the original config.plist and remove the Layout16 modification
So Front panel audio don't work
At the back when nothing is plug it show "Internal speaker" in audio prefpane and it show headphone when I plug my speaker cable !

I recently checked the new Z490 boards for Thunderbolt support. I found two ASUS boards with a strange PCIe layout. It is the ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-H GAMING and ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-A GAMING. In the manual it says on page 2-14 to '*Ensure to install the ThunderboltEX 3-TR card to a PCIe slot from PCH.*' But this isnt even possible because there is no slot with x4 pcie 3.0 lanes available which come from the pch (chipset). The bottom x16 slot is wired through the CPU lanes. Commonly TB3 Ports on desktop systems (Z270, Z390, X570) are routed through the chipset and thereby limited through other devices. With this two boards it could be possible to use a Titan Ridge AIC through the CPU Lanes. Can someone confirm or deny this? Sadly this boards are equipped with a 20-pin Thunderbolt header which doesnt seem to be compatible to the GC-Titan Ridge. There is a new ASUS ThunderboltEX 3-TR card which for now is only available with the ASUS Maximus XII Extreme.

Hi @Elias64Fr. Is this version different from the one posted by @CaseySJ here? Just curious if I should give it a try on my GC-Titan Ridge.

Please try this first:
  • Log in to Mojave, open Terminal, and type: sudo kextcache -i /
  • Then reboot and check IORegistryExplorer again. Do you see HS11 and HS12?
  • If not, please post this file from CLOVER/ACPI/patched: SSDT-UIAC-Z390-DESIGNARE-V7.aml
