[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Because this is Mojave, please let me know the following:
  • Have all Hackintosh kexts been removed from /Library/Extensions?
  • Was Kext Utility invoked afterwards, to rebuild kernel caches?
  • Which version of Clover is installed?
  • Are you pressing F12 at the BIOS splash screen to open the BIOS Boot Menu and then selecting the USB flash disk?
  • As a last resort, are you able to launch macOS Recovery?
The 10.14.6 (mojave) system I am running has removed the kext you listed. And run Kext Utility to rebuild the kernel cache.

But in the beginning, because it could not start, I restored these kexts from the backup and then deleted them. . . After a few loops, I am not sure to run Kext Utility every time. Later I found a terminal command in your original post

cd /

kextcache -i/volume/Mac S970

This problem can be solved, but I don't know how to enter it or the exact format. Can you teach me?

I'm sure I booted from a USB flash drive. You can also enter macOS recovery

Similarly, using SSDT-USBW.aml will not start the system. The other files in Catalina 10.15.4 Fresh Install.zip run very stably

@CaseySJ Re OC 059,

I noticed on my build today that when using the BIOS boot menu via F8 it has a cute little option named OpenCore instead of the drive names. Super cool.

Is a time machine backup adequate or should I do a full hardware clone of my drive before starting?

Time Machine does not clone the EFI partition and it requires the ability to boot into Recovery to restore from a Time Machine backup. So Time Machine is not a suitable substitute. A bootable backup made using Carbon Copy Cloner is strongly recommended. But also need to backup the EFI partition. The Easy Bootable Backup guide can be used or we can manually back up the EFI partition.

Simple, change the mouse. :)
I have Magic Mouse 1 and 2. Both have the same problem, they will not connect. I have suspected that the wifi BT card has been causing the sleep problems (without any legitimate reason to do so) and have tried three of the WiFi BT cards from Amazon that claim to work with Hackintosh but I have the same results with all of them.

Hi
My problem is, when I watch youtube video on safari, geekbench 5.1 opencl score drop 25k and can't back to normal until restart.Normal score 45k and if I use chrome for youtube there is no problem.

Hello, @CaseySJ
Is there no progress on using SSDT to activate the Thunderbolt bus? The firmware that I modified was invalid, and I could only flash it back to the original version.

My MB has always had sleep problems (wake up automatically after sleep, the cause of the USB has been ruled out), after a long time of investigation, it was found to be a Thunderbolt problem. Turning off the Thunderbolt in the BIOS can sleep normally. I tried to view the system log, but wake The reason shows "?". This problem has been bothering me for a long time. I tried to activate the Thunderbolt bus to solve this problem, but the problem still exists.

Hi @CaseySJ,
I use your guide with my new Configuration (Z390+Core i9). Everything is great and working. Thunderbolt Hotplug is very good. Thank you for all your work.
I have issue with your Vega64 enhance process si I use @mattystonnie AMD Radeon Performance Enhanced SSDT guide with VGTab to solve Noisy Vega Fan. I don't find anywhere a guide with advice value for VGTab and I want to check if my values are good (I find them on a german forum). Is anybody can advice me?

With this method only DP port are working (not the HDMI).
I have a question about audio with your guide. I think my audio map is not good, I use the green audio output to connect my speaker but in Mac OS sound prefpan I must check headphone output to have sound on green audio output. And the front panel headphone output don'work (I test all audio setting in mac os audio prefpan) ! Have you an idea to solve it ?
Thanks for your answer and sorry if the problem have been already discuss.
