hello,
i need helping finding a good graphics card 1-300$ that would be good for video editing everything i search for or get recommended is either too expensive or not in stock let me know of any suggestions

thank you!

If you have a Micro Center nearby, they may still have some RX 590s in stock, I saw a Saffire Pulse and a few Gigabyte Gaming ones last time I was on their site...

Has anyone here got 10.15.5 and iGPU working via DHMI on this board? Everything was fine all the way to and including 10.15.4 :/ Now I get no screen after the initial Apple logo disappears and desktop should show. I wanted to ask here before changing framebuffer and platform ID changes.

@Daranski
Before you upgrade to MacOS 10.15.5 the radeonboost.kext was in your clover/kext/other directory installed?
If so, this kext prevents correct installation. The intallation hangs up. You must start from your install usb-stick without this kext in clover/kext/other. Try it!

That will be why then. When I start from USB install stick, how do I access OSX on the hard disk to change the EFI?

That is not the case with me, or most people on here.

Just select it from the list of options.

Most people do not have any problems updating with that kext loaded.

Das wird dann der Grund sein. Wie greife ich auf OSX auf der Festplatte zu, um die EFI zu ändern, wenn ich vom USB-Installationsstick starte?
[/ZITAT]

I had already reported this in post #21615. Do not know why it was not included in the installation instructions on the main page regarding the upgrade to MacOS 10.15.5.
This concerns the combination of the Radeon RX 5700 XT graphics card (actually all graphics cards with Navi Chip) and the current radeonboost.kext when upgrading to MacOS 10.15.5.
By the way, everything (all references) can be found in the german Hackintosh Forum.

.

Probably because it does not affect most users here. I believe you are the only one to have reported this here.

1. First of all let the installation complete with the cleaned stick.
2. After the installation, start with the cleaned stick via F12 and select MacOS Catalina on the internal HDD / SSD.
3. Remove the radeonboost.kext from the directory cover/kext/other e.g. with your Clover Configurator.

That´s it!

P.S.

Thanks for helping. I am a bit confused. I was updating my existing OS on my hackintosh from 10.15.4 to 10.15.5. When you run the installation from the clean stick, where do I run it to? on the USB stick itself?
