Are you saying not to use that port? ACPI, DSDT, USBMapping need a makeover. But so far x299x work great

Have you tried the quirk "AppleXcpmCfgLock; set to YES. That is the only way Sleep with work 100% on my GA Mobo.

Hello mister, long time!

I'd say there is no need, at least on my X299X DSG CFG Lock needs not to be disabled nor CfgLock quirks. Perhaps the issue lies somewhere within the actual firmware of the board, Giga has made a mess with these boards  .

Which port do you mean exactly? Sleep issues are very related to XCHI, if that is what you mean then it might be a thing to properly check.

OMG I can confirm this. I unplugged the cable from this port and no more Bios Failure. I tried 4 times and none of them gave Bios Failure neither Clover reboots.

I have nothing attached to the internal 3.2 Type-C and issues still persist, I only had BIOS failure with this port and a Phanteks Evolve X, for some reason the port was messing around with the board, now the build runs in another case without USB-C front port.

Do you mean this issues? I have not tested throughly but I was seeing this same failure a 99% of the time and after unplugging the cable I got 0 messages. I booted, nothing, restarted two times, and no failure message. Maybe I spook too soon.

That's the issue, boot failure and French language... I still don't know what causes it exactly but surely it is BIOS related

Beware that APIC patched SSDT might be needed to move over to OC, since there is no "patch APIC".
Hello
I'm moving on OC, do you have any info for APIC patched SSDT ?
thanks

I'm glad you're doing as I told you. I'm using it very stably. If you do not insert USB other than the external hard drive before booting, there will be no 100% error. However, it is true that booting is slower than other X299 systems. As Dolga said, the bios are still unstable. I think we have to use it this way until the next version of stable bios comes out.

Why would need APIC patch? That's only relevant to 9800X and 9820X, if you need the RTC patch SSDT here it is, that's the one I'm using with the X299 Creator.
i update bios nothing change
You updated to which BIOS from which BIOS?? Problems persist because GB doesn't fix their stuff, perhaps when a new BIOS comes up all this will be left in the past.

It is for another computer with an i9-9820X .... on X299 UD4 PRO.
It boots well with clover (with Patch APIC checked) but with OC, it seems to have the same issue like clover with Patch APIC unchecked.
Thanks again
