You're amazing. I've officially switched from Windows to MacOs (my first experience) thanks to you.

Would be getting the wifi card soon as well.

Thanks again!
:) so happy I could help!! :)

I got the DW1560 which works flawlessly of course. You'll be a happy camper if you get that one :)

Thanks a lot dude, you're a lifesaver. :)

Got almost everything working.

I'll bug you for a few more questions , it takes around 40-42 seconds for the macOs to boot after selecting in the clover menu, is that normal or is there any way to reduce it? :roll2:

Oh, and I'm not using the broadcom wifi card right now (network access via USB tethering: Horndis), wanted to check the installation before ordering it.

Also, I'm unable to sign into the AppStore (worked easily for the iCloud in System Preferences), does that work with the Killer wifi card and Horndis that I'm using, or it would need the broadcom one?

Thanks again for your help!

It shouldn't take 40-42 seconds to boot. My boot time from selecting in clover to full desktop takes around 15 seconds.

That's blazing fast. I couldn't get it any lower, being playing around with a few settings here and there and doing some research but ... again, I'm not even close.

Is external display (HDMI/THUNDERBOLT 3) and Trackpad gestures working fine like real macbook?
I don't have this laptop but i am thinking to buy it for my personal use so should I buy it?

Trackpad works the same as a MacBook. HDMI haven't tried (I think it works good, I can try that) Thurnderbolt I don't use it, I do use a docking (WD-15) on the USB-c port that works like a charm and I connect a external display (FHD) there

I bought a Dell XPS 9560 explicitely to install Mac OS on and after following this guide, everything works so far. Thank you!

For Wifi, I got the DW1560 from eBay and have problems installing it: The antenna connectors don't seem to fit. Even with force, I cannot get them to attach to the DW1560. Has anyone experienced similar issues? Do I need other antenna cables?

Just wanted to say I used your guide to upgrade from Mojave to Catalina and it went pretty smoothly!

I am using the Dell DW1830 instead of the DW1560 and wifi/bluetooth is working fine. All the stuff that was broken before is still broken (sd card, optimus, etc) so that's no surprise.

Thanks again!

edit: Nice.

Actually I have one thing to add that I didn't notice at first.

You need to add ACPIBatteryManager (available here https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-acpi-battery-driver/downloads/ - just get the latest, it still works even tho its from 2018) to get the menubar battery widget to work.

Code:
sudo kextcache -i /
after dropping it in EFI/kexts/Other and restart.

Hi there !
Thanks for the tutorial.
I currently have a Dell XPS 15 9560 dual-boot Win10/Linux Mint on my partitioned 512Go SSD. I would like to boot MacOS Catalina from an external SSD. Is it possible?
