You must have some problems with ACPI, check your SSDT's, besides, I don't know which hardware you have exactly, update your hardware specs? Perhaps there is a problem with boot arg in your .plist
18:915 0:005 Using load options 'boot.efi -v debug=0x100 keepsyms=1 npci=0x2000 alcid=1 '
You have been switching from clover to OC and it shows in the last line, you need to do a CMOS and re-configure your BIOS, either choose one bootloader or the other, I would stick with OC.

So now i am stuck here can you guys have a look
X299X gigabyte master i9 10900x under clover
my bios still doing boot failure every time i boot under clover 5114 i can't migrate 5118
at least with open core i had less boot failure but wifi and bluetooth where gone

I just bought the same motherboard and cpu
And I have big problem with clover and boot failure,

In addition to this problem
I think this CPU and this motherboard are very slow and windows boot time is long,

my old motherboard and cpu (Gigabyte Z170X-UD5 … cpu i7 6700k)
boot windows 10 in 5 second

This motherboard and cpu (X299X Aorus Master … cpu i9 10900x)
Boot windows 10 in 30 second

Any idea?

Regards

That's why the preferred bootloader is OC, just check first post and follow the method. It's totally normal for HEDT boards to boot slower than a Z170 for instance, the firmware has to load many more devices and that leads to more checks = slower boot.

how do we fix PXSX ? and the built in?

do i need the driver for CSME HECI is it the audio ?
any idea for the driver AQC111?
I guess there's incompability for wifi6 AX200?
still have problem with prelink kernel
thanks

I am currently trying to get OC working on the same X299X Aorus Master with a 10980 CPU, but I can't get OC to load. I get and auto reset after a couple seconds. I wonder if it's a BIOS issue. Would you mind sharing your BIOS setting?

Right now I've been following what's posted in the guide:
Disable:

  • Fast Boot
  • VT-d (can be enabled if you set DisableIoMapper to YES)
  • CSM
  • Thunderbolt(For initial install, as Thunderbolt can cause issues if not setup correctly)
  • Intel SGX (I can't find this setting)
  • Intel Platform Trust
  • CFG Lock (MSR 0xE2 write protection)(This must be off, if you can't find the option then enable both AppleCpuPmCfgLock and AppleXcpmCfgLock under Kernel -> Quirks. Your hack will not boot with CFG-Lock enabled) (I can't find this setting, but I did enable the settings mentioned)
Enable:
  • VT-x (I can't find this setting)
  • Above 4G decoding
  • Hyper-Threading
  • Execute Disable Bit (I can't find this setting)
  • EHCI/XHCI Hand-off
  • OS type: Windows 8.1/10 UEFI Mode
If it makes any difference I am using OC 0.5.8 DEBUG.

I've attached my EFI folder and DSDT.aml as well the screen I get when I boot. It goes from this to the OC menu. I have about 2 or 3 seconds then it reboots and tells me I had a boot failure.

I see from your posts you had a similar situation, but you seem to have found a solution.

Thanks for any help

I was able to boot with OC 0.5.6 but it did not have wifi and bluetooth and tried to configure 0.5.8 not working at all as same as you
Thanks I'll give that a go. I don't need and BT or WiFi at the moment. If you happen to have the EFI folder you used I would love to take a look and compare my SSDTs etc.

Thanks

Hi!

What about clover?
can boot with clover without boot failure?

Thanks

Hi Farid

I'm not a good person to ask about this. I have been a Mac guy for my entire life, the last Windows computer I had was a Mac on bootcamp and Windows 7, I have no reference as far as booting Windows speed.

I did notice when following the guide that we should disable fastboot in the BIOS, which was disabled by default in my case, perhaps it was enabled on your old system? I didn't time the boot up, but it seems OK. I'm used to my Mac that hasn't been turned off in 6 months, so everything is slow to me LOL.

Delete USBInjectAll.kext and use the usb mapped kext attached.
