pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

@pastrychef Hi there, I'll be switching over from my current build to yours (Just a mobo change).

Is it alright if I replace your EFI with mine, then make the necessary changes and additionally clear the NVRAM, configure the BIOS properly and all is good to go?

Additionally, are you using the config.plist-based CFG patch or a manual one via setup_var?

i have a 9900K ES, not sure if its fine or not..

All you need to do is apply the proper BIOS settings, then replace the EFI on your USB installer and/or your main system drive.

On this motherboard, the CFG is unlocked by default. You don't have to do anything extra.

Engineering Samples should work fine.

@Pets123

What sleep problems are you having?

Did you apply one of the proper USB 15 port limit fixes yet?

Please enter the following in Terminal and post the output:
Code:
log show --style syslog | fgrep "Wake reason"
@pastrychef

Hey, i had everything working well now about a month, lately it has started to wake from sleep again (using SSDT for usb) and terminal says thhis time:

log show --style syslog | fgrep "Wake reason"

Is this still related USB-s or ?

Thanks again,

Try adding the following patch. Then try removing WhateverGreen again. Also, you should do one of the "proper" USB fixes.

Yes. Looks like USB or audio.

Additionally, even after fixing my own build completely, I sometimes get my Vega 56 maxed out (Air boost OC, the CPUTach LED indicator will fully light up and my screen will freeze, while voice calls continue to function)

I don't know what can cause that... What apps do you have running when this happens? Have you tried monitoring Activity Monitor to try and figure out which process is doing this?

Please post your EFI.
