The 4K Dell OptiMac - 9020 MT - Core i7-4790 - Radeon RX 570 - LG 4K IPS Monitor

So can I install Mojave in the same way as your catalina mini guide, installing the kexts in the clover other folder? Would I still follow steps 1 to 3 in post 1 this and then follow the mini guide to install the kexts and drivers.
Follow steps 1 to 3 of the Mojave guide. After that, don't run Multibeast as that puts all the kexts into /L/E. You could copy and paste the EFI folder from the USB installer to the EFI partition of the hard drive. After that put all the kexts into the other folder by drag and drop method. Then do the step 5 of the Mojave guide.
whats the idea behind the terminal commands in step 3? why do we need to disable hibernation?
Leaving hibernation enabled takes up a lot of space on your SSD boot drive. That's the main reason we disable it. It's really not needed when you've got a modern Sata or NVME based SSD.

Ahh ok, I didn't realise that. What do you consider a modern sata ssd? I'll was going to use a 1tb samsung 860 evo (from my 8300) for macos/clover at this stage. Still thinking about the NVME pci slot option though...I assume if I get a NVME M2 for macos, I only need a small sata ssd for the initial boot drive? Just big enough for the clover EFI partition? I don't have any small ones though so would have to buy one

You could even use a small 4GB USB flash drive instead. Doesn't require much space at all.

OK, and just leave the USB plugged into a port on the back, I gather. How do you have you systems setup if you don't mind me asking? Do you run the Clover EFI on a separate drive? On my 8300 Elite I have the Clover/macOS EFI on the macOS 1TB SSD and Win10 on a separate HDD. The Windows HDD has its own EFI partition but is seen by Clover and works great. Not sure if this is the best setup though. Whats the gold standard?

Anyone confirmed recent success with the Yeston 550 4GB from China?

Can anyone tell me the sata port speeds on the optiplex 9020 mini tower motherboard? Do they all support sata III 6gb/s?
Two of the four are 6Gb/s speed ports. See SATA0 and SATA1 connectors pictured below.

The two white colored ones (SATA2/3) are 3Gb/s speed and meant for use with an Optical drive and a mechanical HDD. Two parts that every MT Optiplex came with originally. See the pics in post #1 or refer to the Optiplex owners manual that is attached to post #1. If you want to dual boot, put the macOS SSD on SATA0 and Windows SSD on SATA1. Any mechanical storage drives can then connect to SATA2 or 3 connectors.

Thanks TRs, I looked in the manual and couldn’t find any reference to the SATA speed of each of ports 0-3!
It's in there, just not easy to find. Dell always uses that color coding. The Royal Blue colored connector is always the SATA0 port. Black is SATA1 and white ones are the 3 Gb/s speeds. They call them SATA 2.0 interfaces.
