[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

hi guys - sorry to jump in with a new question - Casey - thank you so much for creating this awesome guide

I recently finished my rig based on this build - it works great - apart from one problem:

if I let the computer auto-boot from power up I get this message:

"Error allocating 0x11c69 pages at 0x000000000529d000 alloc type 2
Couldn't allocate runtime area"

however, the system will boot if I perform the following steps:

i) power up - hit F12 to bring up boot menu
ii) select the "install OSX Mojave" usb drive (the USB installer that was created in the guide)
iii) the clover screen launches and displays the boot drive options (external USB, APFS, Recovery etc)
iv) manually select my AFPS OS X Mojave system drive
v) the system now boots as expected

so - my question is - how should I modify my config so that the system auto boots correctly from the OS X Mojave drive? (I attached my config.plist file)

hello, must the firmware be flashed so that ThunderbolT is correctly recognized after the start of the DSDT? For me firmware is unknown.

Attached are the two dates I use

Or can it be that I have to blow it again with Windows?
But does not know 100 percent whether it worked.

I am still suffering from regular low power USB charging.
If it works as intended(high current charging), I get this in IOreg:

And when it doesn't(500mA, wrong) , this:

Any ideas how to 'force' the extra power parameters?

Sorry for the waste of bw with the screenshots, I just wrestled for 10 minutes uploading 2 pix as thumbnails but I just don't get it.

I discovered mine was occasionally borked because I had the power properties loading twice. Once from USBX.aml and one from my USBPorts.kext. Look for duplicates.

With SSDT-USBX.aml loaded my USB disks will not mount/are completely invisible...

I don't use USBPorts.kext, I am still using USBInjectAll with excluded ports.

Maybe I should try USBPorts.

I prefer it myself but thats just me!

I can't promise that will fix it. Another thing I've noticed is that when I'm working on thunderbolt issues, sometimes those properties aren't loading.

NO-CNVW SSDT is used to hide the Intel WiFi module

Hi @CaseySJ, is there an SSDT like this for other motherboards? I tried using this kext on my x299 Designare EX but i guess its not compatible.
I've been looking everywhere for some kind of guide or even a starting point for creating an SSDT to turn off my on-board WiFi controller, and I can't seem to find anything. I'm at a loss. Help?

I redid my USB mapping and switched to the USBPorts.kext method. Now I see this, but I have high current charging available? Weird. Anyway, let's see if this fixes it.Screenshot 2020-05-14 at 12.18.55.png
