@mattystonnie
Hi I try @Dutchie2 advice, I try SSDT 1.9 and 2.2. It work on my system but all video port in the up part of the vega 64 don't work (1 HDMI and 3 DP). Just the 2 video port in the down part work (1HDM and 1 DP). This is for my Mojave partition (my work one). It's a problem because I need 4 video port (2 computer screen, 1 wacom and a blackmagic HDMI monitor). The SSDT 2.3 don't work.
I try SSDT 2.3 with my Catalina partition (it's a test one, not for working) and it work with the 2 port down of the card not the other as mojave partition.

You have a similar setup to mine (I have Vega 56 and Kabylake instead of Skylake), but I cannot get the SSDT working (improving performance), even @mattystonnie tried and could not get it working. Please, could you share your EFI folder from the Catalina setup?

That was my point....even benchmark from the same company are different...because of what they choose to use as workloads. It's the real Apps that count.

Which GPU gives you "better" FCPX and how are you measuring the difference ? Bruce's test ?

How can I meassure Final Cut Pro X ?!! Lol.

@mattystonnie are you able to see power usage for a RX 5700 XT? I have tried all of the various apps and haven't found one that will show me anything other than GPU Usage percentage. I am using VirtualSMC if that matters.

I have RX 5500 XT and can’t see the temps.

It’s the other way, Geek4 gives a higher score and Geek5 gives the same score.

In real apps you get better performance only with metal apps and open cl, I get better in FCPX, someone else can confirm.

:lol: That's why I asked how when you said "I get better in FCPX" and asked others to confirm.
How can you measure "better in FCPX" so that we can all do the same and compare and confirm.

Exporting time.

I'm not sure whether Adobe Suite CC 2020 nowadays works with Metal libraries or they still rely upon Opengl ... it would be interesting - at least for me - to see if I can have a boost in performance with them, especially Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere.

AS @slim.jim said, I can see only the GPU's memory and processor occupation, but not the energy. I'm using VirtualSMC and its sensors along with iStat. How can I measure the energy of the system? do I have to change kexts?

Photoshop (screenshot below) for example uses OpenGL/OpenCL. Premiere though, supports Metal and OpenCL.

@mattystonnie

Could you please help me customise your RX 580 SSDT to fix my build?

The paths are: Display - PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)
HDMI Audio - PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x1)

Vendor: AMD (0x1002)
Device ID: 0x67df
Revision ID: 0x00ef

I use Clover in this build, in legacy mode. Currently I am injecting in Clover, otherwise I get black screen in HDMI or DVI. Unfortunately I do not have DP to test.

Thanks a lot for the fantastic work you are doing here.

All The best
