AMD Radeon Performance Enhanced SSDT

Edit the OC config file from /Volumes/EFI /EFI/OC and add this patch renaming TableSignature SSDT find: 50454750 replace : 45475030 comment: replace : 45475030

I'm using the SSDT and kext method for the 5700 XT in my OC 0.5.8 z390 build using SMBIOS iMacPro1,1
And I've seen a solid boost to my scores (from an average in the mid 40s on GeekBench to upper 60s).
So thanks for that and making it easy!

I do have one remaining question:
I've tested both with and without the above patch in my config.plist and I don't see any difference in scores whether it's there or not. Is it playing some other role like power management? Or is it not required and I can remove it?

Thanks very much for your work on this.

Geek Bench 5 = 42,106
Luxmark = 12,840

I have not tried yours, however. Do you have any suggestions? I am all for it.

Like I have been saying (and others have shown) that with RX580 you will NOT get any better GB5 performance from these mods (Matty's, nor RadeonBoost nor mine).

Other than, better "reported" power consumption.

Try a Geekbenck score after sleep/wake cycle.

My gpu does 19W in idle
Yes I see 19 occasionally but on avg it reports ~ 35W.
Even that I am not convinced it is actually true.
The heatsink temp feels exactly the same - 100W consumption is same temp as 35W.

If the GPU temp really drops 65%, I would except to notice a drop in external heatsink temp too.

Can be power efficient, using less power to have a high frequency, that's why the temps are not low.

Edit. If you remove the SSDT you will see high power usage with all the monitor apps.
