OpenCore users: just update to 10.15.3 in my spare drive without any problem. If anyone is interested I'd be glad to upload my OpenCore's EFI folder.

Beware my system is highly tuned (and thus the EFI folder) so it won't work for yours, but it could serve as a starting point.

Cheers!

Hi there!

As I said before, and given the requests I've received, I have updated the OP to include my EFI folder for OpenCore.

Beware this setup is heavily customised and probably it won't boot your system (it contains DSDT patches, SSDT for USB and many other small configurations), but in any case it could work as a guideline for configuring OpenCore.

The uploaded version is 0.5.5. I know there have been several releases after this one, but this one boots Catalina 10.15.3 perfectly. Next month I'll update to the latest version.

So you all know, your mileage may vary and feel free to ask for support in this thread. I'll do my best to help.

Thanks again and cheers from Spain!

Ok, I will take a look to your EFI Folder.
I've the Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Ultra Gaming Ver. 1.

Here attached you'll find my efi folder (I just replaced my serial/MLB to xxx yyy zzz). Opencore 0.5.6.
NOTE: no alc kext because I use an external USB dongle for audio.

Hope help if necessary for someone.

Well I used the OC folder from both of you to check my own one and yes, I can boot my machine and everything seems

What I don't understand:

External drives now look like internal drives. Better would be to have their former yellowish icons back.

My config.plist is attached

Hi Ultrazone, thank you for your guide.

Do you enable Trim via Terminal on your Samsung EVO ?

I notice that you use Samsung EVO M.2 boot drive. Have you heard about NVMeFix.kext? Apparently, it is recommended to use to fix power and energy consumption for Mojave.

I haven't installed M.2 SSD, yet, but wanted to ask you if you recommend the NVMeFix.kext

**I've since read that it mainly used for laptop users worried about battery life and heat.
