[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hey CaseySJ. No dice on the changes and thanks for catching that duplicate! Any other suggestions?
I had to uncheck the box labeled "Use the IOKit monitoring for GPUs" then exit the application, start up the application and reenable the same check box in order to see any statistics for my Vega 64s.

Please post a screenshot of the settings dialog for HWMonitorSMC2. Here's mine:

Off topic, but about HWMonitorSMC2. I installed it on HP ProBook 4540S (beautiful Hackintosh - thx Rehabman) and at all reboots from Mac I have S.M.A.R.T error 301. Reboot from windows, nothing. If I remove HWMonitorSMC2, all is alright. So if it happen to you, stay chill :).

OK, I just realized I may have done something stupid here. After looking at the picture of yours, I dragged on the lower right corner of mine and low and behold, the info is all there. For some reason I was under the impression that it auto expanded to show all the categories. Whoops! Only thing is, in iStat menus the GPU die still reads blank, but I think I can live with that. Sorry for the trouble. Thanks!

So under the CPU load in iStat Menu you don't see the following section:

I have the most recent VirtualSMC, SMCSuperIO, and SMCProcessor. I'm also loading the VirtualSMC.efi

Building and configuring a Hackintosh can be a rewarding and frustrating experience (no pain no gain). Fortunately, with the help of some guides scattered throughout TonyMac the pain can be much less than the gain! Have you seen these in Post-Installation --> General Help?

I haven't, but I will take a look!

My Previous post is still awaiting mod approval. Not sure why. But without posting screen shots and the config.plist file i attached from my build. Here was one of the of questions i asked.

Is it possible to change SMBIOS without it screwing up my software authorizations that are cloud-based and signing me out of iCloud? I use Sonarworks Systemwide for speaker calibration and Adobe CC Suite and have the plugin alliance Mega bundle. And the last two times I have switched my SMBIOS it has signed me out of all that and I had to burn an authorization.

The reason I am asking is that i thought i changed my SMBIOS weeks ago to Imac Pro 1,1 but in my config plist file it is still imac 19,1. I am just trying to get my build running better with Final Cut Pro.

Select Use the IOKit monitoring for GPUs from the Preferences pane (the little gear icon on the bottom left corner of the window).

The previous version 2.4.9 also reports 7GB VRAM for the iGPU. I'm willing to look the other way. :) These things get sorted out eventually.

After installing Intel Power Gadget and checking the eponymous box in Preferences, we get a whole bunch more statistics:

OK, appararently a reboot was needed. Now all is well, I see my RX480 data. Thanks for the tip!
HWMonitor has been working off and on over the years, depending on the TLC of a series of developers.

Although it's possible to change only the model name without changing serial numbers, different apps might respond to this in different ways. In the past did your (a) serial number, (b) board serial number, and (c) System UUID remain the same when you switched SMBIOS name?

Most but admittedly not all apps only check those three parameters.

@CaseySJ, thanks so much for your support. I was able to successfully install 10.15.4 without any data loss. Everything is going smooth with my Vega 56, just some slow wake up issues but I will look through your guide on that first.

I wanted to ask if there's anything specific I need to do before I put my Nitro 5700 XT in, or will MacOS auto detect the card and work okay?

Also, do you have a link/guide you can lead me to for changing the theme in clover? The new theme is really awful looking IMO but I can deal with it if it's a huge hassle.
