[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

  1. If you disabled WhateverGreen with the -wegoff flag in Boot Arguments, remove that flag, reboot, and try again. If the problem persists, then also remove the .aml file from CLOVER/ACPI/patched and reboot.
  2. The attached SSDT enables HS01 and disables HS12. Please remove the previous SSDT-UIAC-DESIGNARE-Z390-V7.aml before copying this one in its place.
1. I added the -wegoff flag. That didn’t work. Do you mean remove the WhateverGreen.kext file? I did that and I am experiencing the same behavior.
2. USB 2.0 is now working as well as the Fenvi. Thanks!

No, leave WhateverGreen enabled. But remove the .aml file.

I am still having crazy slowdowns with Final Cut pro and it is causing me to want to abandon this project. My rig works great with Pro Tools. Final Cut is so buggy. PLEASE someone help.

the most recent video I edited for my youtube channel was a simple 1 camera angle tour of my recording studio. I shoot with a Sony A6400. 4k Video. Simple color correction, and very basic sharpening is all the was applied to the footage. I am unable to simply push spacebar and have the video just play, I still get regular spinning beach balls. And almost every time I Hit the spacebar, the play head jumps to the very end of the video timeline. Its a significant slow down. My bruce x test was about 12 seconds.

I have a 9700k, Designare z390, 32gb gskill DDR4, Sapphire Pulse RX580 8gb. Thanks in advance.

What videocodec are you using? Did you convert on import to a format FCPX can handle, like ProRes or what have you?

While I do not have any Benches to give you because I am lazy. However, I can tell you that after a week I have seen no instability caused by this kext/SSDT combo.

Hey there, I've been running this hack since Aug of '19 and it was without WiFi/Bluetooth. I just installed the Fenvi T919, and the install went fine. I'm running it in the first 1x slot and as far as. I can tell the macOS is seeing the card just fine.

There is, however, an issue where WiFi seems to be power cycling. In the Network control panel it will go active and inactive every 20 seconds or so. So, I can't connect reliably to a WiFi router. I've done a bunch of searching and I'm including all the details I can find. Has anyone come across this issue?

I would suggest keeping an eye on GPU clocks and temperature using HWMonitorSMC2. Were other applications using the GPU when you ran GeekBench one hour after booting? Web browsers should be closed when running GB.

CaseySJ, I'm not getting any readouts for the GPU nor the fans, just CPU and Core Temps in HWMonitorSMC2 (or anything else) What am I missing?
