[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hey @CaseySJ how are you doing? don't know if you remember me... I was having issues with my hackintosh rebooting... Turns out the problem was the i5 9600k, I already sent to Intel and they are refunding me.
So I'm about to buy a new processor and I'm between the i7 9700k and the i7 9700kf... Is the lack of a Igpu in the 9700kf a problem for the hackintosh compatibility?

Allright, I fixed the GFX parameter not showing in IPG. There's a post from Jaymonkey mentioning a solution.
I changed the model name to Intel HD Graphics 620 and now it shows in IPG.
Weird. Or lame. Not sure.
Now for some testing.

What does ioreg show when you search after igpu

Now, after a certain amount of time has elapsed I wanted to ask you again, as Power AIC Users, which FW would you recommend? As far as I can tell NVM43 is definitely a no-go. NVM23 was quite praised and NVM50 was said to give similar results, but I'm under the impression a crossflashed NVM33 does give even better results, am I correct? Or did I just read along the wrong posts? Cheers gentlemen

Dumb question, but do you mind me asking why you use an AIC thunderbolt card when the Z390 has Thunderbolt 3 built in?

Thanks

I'm on the Designare NVM33 patched ROM and for the most part it is working great! Only thing I would really love is for it to correctly re-attach devices after a sleep / wake cycle. Right now I need to unplug / replug the TB cable.

It's not limited to Catalina, but as stated in the Caveats section, there might be boot issues. Fortunately, it's easy to undo.
Yeah I definitely can't get this to work on my Asus Z370 i9-9900ks system. Have double checked all the device properties for iGPU and each time I add the boot flag it gives a super slow startup and has no iGPU enabled in macOS.
