[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

I don't see GFX info in Intel Power Gadget? Am I supposed to install extra stuff for this?
It should appear by default. Can you post a screenshot?

P.S. Please un-quote the micro-guide.

Sorry, another noob question.

What is the best way to install Lilu and Whatever green Kexts in Catalina? I've read that previous methods of simply dragging new kexts doesn't work?
Just replace files in CLOVER/kexts/Other and reboot.

It depends on your licensing details/constraints..For example I had a fully working Windows 10 pro which was activated at my ma's house. My Nephew used it mostly. He moved it to his Ma's place and is getting an activation alert and bogs of certain features etc..This is easier as they'll ask for a Product key and see that it was indeed activated. It must be the change of IP which triggers a new system alert.
With my situation, I'm a bit stuck bc they'll most likely ask for my Imac Serial #. . I cannot tell them it's a hackintosh( No support obviously)

I can say i had a malfunction and cant run my apps. If I'm lucky with some info in EFI> Symbios etc.. they might allow a reinstall on their end OR give me new activation codes.

I'll keep this predicament updated for sure. I think with my charm and the right agent, we can make it work lol

why not to use a new Id‘s from Clover Configurator? New serial etc.

you need to make sure that your igpu is set correctly. Check the guide from Casey going the extra mile. There itis explained how to setup your igpu correctly with hackintool as an example. I would recommend to set it up in a headless Config like smbios 19,1 is set up originally...

** Micro-Guide: Significantly Speed Up Intel UHD630 iGPU **
Please do not quote this guide in its entirety. Post a link instead.

  • After downloading the Sony 4K Camp Video (click here for 1.26GB file) I viewed the video in QuickTime Player before and after the change. GPU frequency was monitored with Intel Power Gadget for Mac.

It appears the video-link Casey has hyperlinked in the above micro-guide has had too many downloads from it. I think I've found the same video here (http://hdr4k.blogspot.com) - scroll down to the Sony HDR video

I don't wanna ruin everyone's RadeonBoost party, but so far in my testing, I only found my system to be slower with the kext. Let me explain:

I'm running a VEGA 64 8GB and 9900KS on Clover with iMacPro1,1 with iGPU disabled (in hindsight, the 9900KS doesn't make any sense whatsoever). I tried various setups: iMac19,1 instead of iMacPro, enabled and disabling iGPU, with and without the SSDT. Even though I do sometimes see a significant increase in GB5 scores, I have never experienced an increase in render times in DaVinci Resovle 16. Futhermore, all tested setups and combinations resulted in significantly lower performance. I tested the same video with each setup (a combination of multiple camera's and formats including H264, H265, retiming, LUTs and titles). For instance, using the setup as described above, without RadeonBoost, gets me about 55 fps when rendering 4K H264 clip. Using RB, this drops to around 30-35. As video rendering and video editing is the main reason I built this setup, this kext unfortunately doesn't make sense to me.

I think it's important to talk about this. Better GB scores are nice and all, but translation to real-world performance is way more important to me.
I found RadeonBoost to not work with VEGA 64, even the "special" version @CaseySJ has in the mini guide. However @mattystonnie is working on a new setup with SSDT + kext that does seem to give me a pretty good synthetic boost and keeps my fans running as they should. As for real world increases, I've not had a chance to test out yet so your millage certainly may vary.

I think its is set up correctly as headless iGPU. Videoproc shows hardware acceleration for h264 and hevc.

Thanks for the help

Thanks Casey. All looks well when playing the video, however, this could be completely non-related (and therefore normal behavior), but whilst that video was playing in the background via Quicktime, I was browsing the Internet/Tonymac, etc., and noticed that every time I clicked a link, GFX AVG actually dipped a fair bit (as you can see on the green line). Is this normal? (screenshot attached)

The same behavior also happens if I open notes and update my personal changelog for the changes/additions I've done to this Hack etc.

Thank you
