I’ll see about voodoohda and update my guide.
Why not simply get the onboard Realtek audio working ? All it takes is a few config.plist edits.

Hey thanks for the reply!

If I am going to buy a GPU, I might as well get something with a tad more oomph to it than the 710. That being said it is a relatively cheap card and I can upgrade down the road.

I swung by my office today and grabbed a 3020 tower from there (One of my old PC's) and Brought that home to tinker with. I have a few spare SSD's ranging from 120GB to 500GB laying around. I am going to try my hand at seeing about getting Catalina working on it.

Everything is working very well. I just need to ad an bluetooth card or usb bluetooth.
Any suggestion what bluetooth adapter should I buy that works with MacOS Mojave?

I have a 3020 SFF with i3-4130 in mine with a HD4400, does the included Intel HD patch work with that too?

I'm also not quite understanding how to copy the drivers to the EFI partition.
I mean, I can access the partition and all, but the guide does not clearly say which files from what folder.
My EFI Partition has both drivers64UEFI AND drivers64 folder where some .efi files with -64 at the end are in.
And in the drivers folder in the zip are 3 folders. Bios, off and UEFI.
What is the off folder for? and do I need the file in the bios folder? am I'm supposed to delete all the files in drivers64UEFI and take the files from drivers\UEFI from the zip?

I'm also unable to use the onboard sound. only display port audio works.

Well... I just finished the coronatosh.
Thank you for the detailed instructions. The entire process took some time (less than 2 hours) but the machine runs very snap and good.
Here are a few pictures of the process. I suggest anyone to follow this guide if they want to built a 3020 "coronatosh" lolView attachment 456618View attachment 456619View attachment 456620View attachment 456621View attachment 456622View attachment 456623View attachment 456624View attachment 456626View attachment 456627

Hi there,

My late 2012 Macbook Pro is already updated to MacOS Catalina , In order to create a bootable USB to to OS Mojave What extra steps are required? Can't I just create MACOS Catalina bootable USB and install the same on 3020 tower? And Can I install on the same hard disk which comes in 3020 or do I need to first upgrade it to an SSD?

Yes, you could do that.

Yes. It will wipe out any Windows install that is there. We don't recommend having both macOS and Windows on the same drive. You should be aware though that Catalina and the APFS file system run painfully slow on HDDs as opposed to SSDs. SSDs are preferred.

Thank you for the information, which SSD is suitable for this unit.. I always liked the Western Digital 2.5inch SSD...can that be added on this ?

Yes, any 2.5 inch SSD should be compatible after you format it properly.
